OK, lets put it this way...

first, she will claim that she can't drive stick... She drove the Corvette and was fine at it. I had total confidence in her ability to drive it. So I sell it and buy the Camaro... she is DEATHLY afraid of it. She drove it 3 times. First one was good, second, not so much (2 second to first shifts while accelerating ) and the third she did great. Now she wont touch it again and it is going night night after I go to this wedding next weekend. SO C5 fest comes along and she wants to run the autoX something fierce so... I am buying her a stick shift to drive for a few months so she can get comfortable with dricing it daily b/c thats what it is going to take her to get behind the wheel of the Camaro and feel confident. So, if she takes to the stick well I will think about the helmet. Her safety is paramount so if I need to buy one I will.

So Snell M2005 will work is what we are saying? If so then I won't need to buy a SA2005 certified helmet...

Correct. the M is for motorcycle, the SA is for special application

Unless you are supercharged and/or running under 10 seconds, you are fine!

I have been trying to get out to ATL since you first talked with junkie about meeting up last month. I was going to drive out to ATL weekend before last but I forgot the LSX shootout was going on and Junkie was out of town.

I had completely forgotten about signing up. I had planned on coming from the get-go, but it was ultimately going to be a tough decision. but its worked out now.

remember when we had the Camaro5 gear giveaway or whatever it was called, that all you had to do to be a part of was create a "garage"..... yeah... I still havent made one yet.

if my 4th gen comes, it will be on a trailer. unless someone wants to buy me a 4l60e before then. hell, if someone wants to buy one we can have a "How-to: Fix Spike's car" section going on and everyone can help get my baby back up and running.

seriously tho... anyone wanna donate to the "Get Spike a new transmission fund?"

I would rather donate for that then to the 16 y/o dude with like 4 posts who wants people to donate money so he can buy a Camaro for his senior trip and he can hang with all the cool kids.

lol... yeah, I saw that.

I'm still debating on what I want to bring to the meet. I could tow the 94.... with a busted trans and just waste a bunch of gas going there and back.... or I could drive the 86 and waste a bunch of gas cus its set up for top end power, not mpg.... or I could bring a 5th gen.....

decisions...decisions

I vote for the 86 b/c I am a third gen 80s guy at heart. If it wasnt so far I would bring both but the 89 is too uncomfortable to drive that far over the 2010 plus I want to get the SS on the autox. I tried to find a rental 2 car hauler with no avail.
