It's a Mustang thing, but they have invited others to come!
The link is here on detailed info!

Looks like it could be fun, and would be good to show the Chevy Love!!!
They're right down the street from me.

If a bunch of you decide to go let me know. I'll come down and hang out as well. Maybe some folks can stop by my shop also.

GA TAVT Deductible?

My Camaro question of the day:
Anyone know if the new GA TAVT (title tax) will be tax deductible on federal returns?
Ad Valorem generally is, but I have seen a couple of claims around the web that say it wont be as it is not an annual tax.
I ask as this will determine whether we opt in with two vehicles at $2400, or keep paying annually at $450 this year and take that as a deduction.

Georgia Residents that bought a car in the last year may be interested in knowing this:

Motor vehicles purchased on or after March 1, 2013 and titled in this state are exempt from sales and use tax and annual ad valorem tax, also known as the "birthday tax". These taxes are replaced by a one-time tax that is imposed on the fair market value of the vehicle called the title ad valorem tax fee ("TAVT").

The annual tax that you get to claim is not worth the money you have to spend each year in order to claim it.

I would agree as long as you keep the car(s) more than three years. If you sell (not trade with a GA dealer) or move out of state before then I dont think they will refund any of that money. Both are possibilities on this end.

No they will definitely not refund any of the money for sure. And if you end up having to move out of state for a job or something and you had to register the car in that state and then moved back into GA. Guess what, you get to pay that same money again. Something's just don't make sense, but then again I don't get to make the rules just follow them. Lol

Just picked up my iPhone 5s...so far worth every penny. Of course I went from a 4 to the 5s

No you didnt miss anything - I just haven't said anything about it but I sold it this week to someone from out of state. Keeping my options open for what comes next. In the meantime, I get occasional permission to drive the ABM.
