Having keys attached to it was not the problem, it's the design of the fob with the built in key sticking out too far from the column.

I have a 2014 Silverado as a loaner right now. The fob is pure garbage. It looks and feels cheap. Like something you'd find on the crappy toy isle of a grocery store. If I wanted a fob from a 1990's aftermarket alarm system, that's what I'd install.

but the disciples and the f body godfather wanted a key to start the car gm should put push button start in all our cars that this key … the camaro had so much r/d and know this what a$$ gm …. maybe gm should just replace our cars instead just replacing keys

Killed by key... Please! Just like everything else... a few unlikely cases and the whole world goes nuts. This is just like gun laws. You have a few freaks who kill people and then the rest of the country has to give up their arms. Ridiculous.
