![]() Has the new IOM been around the streets of Jamestown this week? Congrats by the way. I haven't been out of the house much to look for it. I know just where you took those cell phone pics. The Oshawa trip was great other than the cold and rain. No new colors revealed though it seems a Z28 is almost a sure thing. Thursday - I was the first to arrive. I got to have drinks and chat with Super60 (works in the Camaro plant), Hylton (organized the meet), Angelina (from MI), little_bank_robber (Angelina's salesperson), josh1147 (from St Louis area) and RickRay until 1AM. Friday - I met CanadianCamaro in the morning while polishing my car (only to have it rained on later). I also met a retired GM employee and another current GM employee. A lot of the Camaros showed up around noon. We caravaned to a street near the Camaro plant and watched a lot of newly built Camaro's drive by in the pouring rain. We caravaned to a nearby park for the employee luncheon where a few speeches and presentations were made. We got to see the Mayor of Oshawa's IOM Camaro with "Mayor Mobile" on the side as well as all the attendee's Camaros (again in the rain). Back at the hotel, we partied in the Presidential Suite until about 3AM. There was lots of Canadian beer & snacks. I hadn't partied like that in a long time. Member camarorick showed us his dash ABL mod and it looked fantastic.(http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=107) Saturday - I was dragging in the morning after Friday night's activities. I got my Camaro polished up again in time for our photo shoot and another rain. We caravaned to the Martinrea facilities for a tour to see Camaro front and rear suspension/brake assemblies put together (very cool). After a hamburger/hotdog lunch, more photos and more rain, we caravaned to a nearby Chevy dealer where some bought Camaro accessories (jackets, hats, etc). Then we split into East/West groups to head home. We had a caravan of six Camaros from Oshawa to London where two headed to Port Huron, MI and the other four (including me) heading to Detroit. Thanks to Banshee (Detroit cop) taking the lead, we made great time. The four of use had dinner in Detroit then I head home arriving around midnight. I believe next year they hope to have another Oshawa meet though in August. jrhaus76 - Have you checked if people are available for a Hocking Hills drive on Oct 24 if the 17th is rained out? I'm available by the way. Who has the National Geography Channel and will host a party 10/15 to watch the Camaro factory tour together? I don't have that channel.

As far as the 15th, count me in. I am totally game for something as I do not have cable at all. I would be willing to go somewhere to see this. |

Hi guys! Nothing like a little monsoon weather to dampen all our spirits! And I even have tonight off from work.
If the Oct 17th drive is cancelled and you decide to try for Sunday the 25th (since it looks like the 24th isn't too popular) then I can perhaps go. Since I manage a museum I always have to work on Saturdays :-( Tunacan - great to finally hear from you! I take it your gift was very well received! And the car is beautiful - I saw it on base and even in the rainy gloom it was amazing. Fen - good luck on those upcoming exams! We know you can do a great job, and we're counting on you to shine at school :-) |

Waiting on my wife to confirm the 17th. Looks great and we plan to be there. I have been out of town and will be levaing again at the end of the month for about 30 day, three bases.
Not sure about the rain date though. Some Pumpkin Festival up there around hocking hills we may be going to with a friend but it is iffy. More to come today.

Hey good to see you, 1 RD JWL!
Heinz - thanks for sharing about the Oshawa trip - sounds like we missed a good time. Maybe next year! Hocking cruise/rain - I'd be able to go the 24th or 25th, but the 25th would be better. My daughter wants to go, but she made plans to go to the Pumpkin festival months ago. The festival only runs through Sat., so that would also make the 25th a better choice as we wouldn't have to deal with festival traffic. Ultimate Factories - I have already set on the DVR. I started recording the whole series. My husband's watched a couple and says it's really good. I haven't had the chance yet. I'd be willing to host a small gathering - my house is small (garage is big, priorities, anyone? ). But we've had over a dozen people over to watch Wrestlemania and it worked out OK. If there's interest, I can get with the husband and make sure the house is clean!

I see there is a new posting for the 1st Official Camaro5 meet in Adel, GA for next April 16-18. Kinda of far (over 700 miles) but it might be fun.

Heinzd and the rest,
Those pictures were taken there because were were on our way to the boat in IN. Needed some cash and was taking BAM (Mrs. Tunacan name for car) She refuses to do the drive thru ATM I had to walk over from where those pics were taken. She does not want any scratches... she does not think the Cam will fit thru there. It is quite tight quarters in her defense. BAM....Beautiful awesome Machine..I thought when she named BAD A$$ Machine...She quickly corrected me! I love her |

WoW! If it is that good an event then it shouldn't be a secret. People would come back year after year. At least those are my initial thoughts. I will be up for it next year to give it a try.
