The Challengers always have get togethers. Their club meets 3-4 times a month.

Maui is a great idea. What are the names of the tracks over there?

I am interested, but need to get dates set and final WAF(wife acceptance factor). We cancelled a trip in Oct and may do something else. She'd be pissed if I did a personal trip just for racing. Need to look at dates and numbers. Got relatives on Big Island, but no one on Maui so leaving car is not an option.

You would bring which car(s)?

Definitely the 5Th gen. I have a place to house my car on Maui but not Hilo.

I'll see if Taz is serious about Maui. Hope he is!

Maui only has one track but they also have autocross right next to the quarter mile at the police training ground. Just google Maui Raceway Park.

Aloha guys, I visit just about every year. Are they any gatherings going on in Oahu during the 1st week of July? I'd love to stop by and check out your rides.

You need to check around. A lot of shops have been fined and placed on probation. I take my car to a VERY reputable shop for alignments. Owner got cited for a customer that actually did illegaly tint the windows after the inspection. Since no reputable tint shop will give receipts for illegal tint, he couldn't prove his case. They said the "customer must've done it after the inspection" was not valid and need to prove it. In the end, he just rode it out during the probation period instead of fighting and bringing on more scrutiny.

A lot of shops won't take chances on people they don't know.

Satefy tags numbers are being collected for blatant violations by various "sources", traffic stop or seen in parking lot, then inspection stations are getting cited. It's pretty stupid since they just need to send guys to car cruises and shows. Many slammed imports will probably fail the recon bounce test. Slammed/hellaflush, no recon, no safety sticker.

Welcome to Hawaii. In some ways, a lot better than CARB CA. However, they don't do a recon bounce test for suspension safety.
