LOL, that is 'car porn' for sure!
You gotta come down when we fire it up! I'm sure Ryan will need to test drive it to dial it in ;o) -Don

Yep, great shop. GPI is in the Gwatney Chevrolet Dealership! Very rare to see and, they are great to work with. Aaron, James, Ryan, Mike, Kevin, really the whole crew oozes performance. The lot is full of performance cars 'o)
They also were able to take care of the recalls so I didn't have to mess with it at my local dealer, which makes it very convenient... Worth the drive up from Dallas... -Don

GPI LSA Build Continues!
More 'car porn' from GPI as the engine progresses!
![]() ![]() ![]() You'll note the VVT was NOT added. Discussed this with Aaron, and he said the 416 doesn't need it -- it makes a ton of power and suggested we go without it -- I'm all in with that. Saves money and simplifies my tuning. These guys have built a ton of these, so they should know! Edit: Also, the LSA block is not drilled for VVT oil passages so while it’s possible to install VVT decided it was not really worth the complication. Didn’t notice that until Aaron showed me the block and the missing oil passages... Thus, he said, I didn’t need it. Still the cam is spec’d for this setup —road racing! The other parts I sent arrived so they'll be able to move along with the heads, rockers, and scraper/windage tray! I also purchased and sent a SacCity billet barbell for them to install -- little things that can help over the long haul... ![]() http://www.saccitycorvette.com/Billet-BarBell.html -Don
