Quick question, do u remember talking last year (during the Nationals) about the UpstateC5 group doing something at the Nationals in Syracuse. Those buildings were so empty. Just a thought.

Question for Vinman and anyone else who has installed pedals - is it really hard to drill through the metal clutch and brake or do I just have a bunch of crappy drill bits? I have wood blocks behind them and can put enough pressure on to break a couple drill bits, but each hole seems to take forever (just with small drill bits).

I just used the 3m tape that's used for putting ground effects and such on, holds like a champ mind you it's covering the entire pedal, and I did have to screw the accelerator pedal on since it didn't match up right

Crappy drill bits. Mine drilled OK but it was a while ago when I did it so I think it went OK! lol! I usually remember when things don't go so well!

Good idea. I'm going to screw them in but might add the tape if there's any issues.

You have a manual don't you? The gas pedal is easy to drill it's plastic. Brake & clutch pedals you have to take the rubber pads off. Don't mess with it just go to hardware and get a diamond tip bit. I put a pilot hole in first then drilled the proper size hole. When you take the rubber pad off did you put masking tape on the pedal & set the new pedal on top then mark thru the holes with a pen or pencil.

Thanks Spike - yes, did the masking tape and marking after removing the rubber pads from clutch and brake. Gas and dead pedal are just drilling plastic, my crappy drill bits could handle that. The pilot holes on the clutch and brake however, had me checking to make sure the drill wasn't accidentally in reverse! I tried other bits but I think they are all either old or from BJ's or Harbor Freight - all crap.

What should have been a quick job ended up not getting finished tonight.
