You mean my L99? Right... ;o)

This thing is going to be a beast. I have the Improved Racing Oil Baffle too -- that will keep the oil where it needs to be -- with the pickup. The Scraper/Windage tray will keep the oil off the rotating mass where its not needed! The SacCity billet barbell will help with flow and pressure -- just the little things we're doing.

I can't wait to see the C.N.C. heads with the C.H.E. Rockers on! The Johnson lifters will also help out -- wonder what Max RPM she'll be able to handle -- and the power curve on it?

I also have a Super Charger Lid Spacer that I got from Forced Inductions (before they left the forum). I'll take it with me, but we'll need to see if I can install it or not. That could help with breathing and IAT2 temps!

7200RPM. Until you build the tranny to handle it? Are you on the stock 6L80E?

yep, 6L80e -- will be looking for a 6L90e from a zl1 or ctsv. I can have Frank @ DSS update my CF driveshaft for it. I'll need to tweak my trans mounting also.

That will be in the future sometime. Ryan has the trans tuned pretty good -- just the damn down shift torque management on these 6L80's are not up to snuff ;o)

Manual shifting, works like 'da bomb' though ;o)...

@ NCM, I don't think we'll get above 6200 RPM on the straights so the 6L80 should be good. I think the highest I've been is 5800 RPM so far...

NO!

I'll probably go with the ADM LS3 to LSA 3 belt conversion with a 9.10 Metco or ATI balancer... ;o). Just not sure how quick I can get that before I go to GPI...

I have to have something for later ;o)

So, checking with Andy at ADM to see if I can get the LS3 to LSA belt/pulley upgrade since we're not going VVT. Once I know, I hope to bring it with me since we'll have all accessories off! Perfect time to upgrade!

Ooooihhhhhh.......jumping on the old 8rib band wagon, I love it!

I dont have near the same power, but she still has plenty of torque for you down low without VVT

Make sure they take lots of pictures, excited to see it man.

Looking into it anyway. I'll probably get the kit and do the upgrade later. Have to replace the power steering pulley, but I have a turn one...need to investigate that...

Yep, pictures are nice for sure!

GPI LSA Build Continues!

Getting closer to the big day!

Andy says he has the upgraded pulley kit! Picking that up tomorrow!

Aaron has more 'car porn' for me ;o)

Heads ready to install!

BTR springs on (ARP studs ready to rock):

Ported heads! (Going with the LS9 head gaskets):

Block is ready!:

We'll, we have gas around here, but premium is at a 'premium' ;o) So, E85 is the only gas my local Kroger's has at this point -- I'm lucky ;o)

They'll be getting a truck shipment probably tomorrow (their usual delivery day), but @ least I can get my E85!

GPI LSA Build Continues!

Johnson lifters being installed! Soon, the ported heads...

Picked up my ADM 3 belt conversion! Did find out I need to grind on the passenger's side motor mount pedestal to add clearance for the compressor -- no big woop! I'll get some pics of this kit and post them up.

So, here is my ratio for my pulley combo:

9.17 (18%) lower
2.45 upper

9.17 / 2.45 = 3.74 (ratio)

Now, to find the blower speed (at what we think will be max HP rpm)

3.74 * 6300 (yes, it can goto 6800 or a max 7200 RPM), but this will be where I'll be driving it max...

So, the blower will be spinning @ 23,562 RPMs @ 6300 RPM.

@ 6800 Engine RPM, we'll be spinning @ 25,432 RPMs -- that is moving that blower! Good thing I got a rebuild with porting...still in the safe range from Weapon-X

Now, with the breathing we've taken into account, this should still breath very well. I'll need to manage the heat in the blower -- we'll see how that goes, but, very nice indeed...

Edit:
Road racing I'll see about 5800 RPM so;

3.74 * 5800 = 21,692 RPMs

So, keeping things under 6300 RPM with my combo will still be safe...

In my opinion that's too fast for this blower. Especially since you use it for racing. I would do 2.55 upper and 9.1 lower. That's what I have. It screams and so does IAT2

I talked to Andy at ADM (and Aaron at GPI) about that too, Andy said I should be all right. Aaron noted the RPMs are what I need to be careful of. We'll see what's up. The great thing is, I can change pulleys ;o). Want to see how this goes. If need be, I have no issues swapping out pulleys if we get too hot on IATs. I'll see how it goes and watch those.

Went by this chart:

https://weaponxmotorsports.myshopify...ng-mods-needed

And here:

http://www.ctsvowners.com/forum/4-en...tml#post633133

BTW, adding the Forced Inductions lid spacer to see how that helps..
