Just read the thread, great to see they made some progress on the problem. I agree with you on wondering why the ECU took so long to re-learn.

It's good to hear Bee Bee is running well now. What did the GM engineers do to wake her up?

That's really cool. You are very fortunate. My car dreams about your car every night but just can't stay asleep long enough to make it a reallity.

Your scaring Mustangs and I'm enableing them.

Camaro SS Clutch Compared To Mustang GT?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can comment on how heavy the clutch is in the Camaro SS stock? The closest car I've driven is a Mustang GT and I liked how heavy the clutch is in those cars. I sat in a manual Camaro SS and the clutch seemed to be as light as a Civic. Was I just not paying attention?
Thanks

Clutch

There has been much discussion about clutch "sensitivity" on this forum. I have driven manual trannys forever, but after my first demo drive of an SS at my local dealer, I wondered I should get an automatic.

I stalled the car 3 times before I even got on the road. Very difficult to sycro...felt like an "on-off-switch".

The good news is; as per the many posts here, the clutch just needs a couple hundred miles of break-in. I went for another demo, this time the car had 350 miles on the odo and it was just fine.

Wow! This is a really fun car to drive. I expect to submit my order for a manual 2SS within a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up! How heavy is the clutch pedal compared to the other cars?

I would describe the clutch pedal feel as normal.

Mine took 1500 to 2000 to get to where it would "seem" normal ... It also could be that it took me that long to get used to it LOL ... I have an "88 and the 2010 seems to have better feel IMO anyway :-)

Please help! My brother might choose a mustang or EVO over a Camaro!

Hi, i know its his decision to basically get whatever he wants but....a mustang?!? Is he trying to cause me some mental harm because of something I did years ago?

Hes looking at a 2010 mustang GT vert, or an MR Evo X. I actually would like him to get his car before I get mine, I know he will fall in love with the Camaro. He would be getting a Camaro 2SS as early as tomorrow off a dealers lot. I think hes absolutely crazy to pass up the Camaro, but then again, I guess I'm more of a camaro nut then he is.

He simply likes mustangs....a lot!

I plan on showing him this thread in a desperate attempt to prevent disaster at some point tomorrow....

Please keep it honest...and civil.
