Yesterday (02JAN16) I ended up spending nearly $40k for a new one; now I have to start all over again with the mods.

Wow, that sucks hard, man. Sorry for the crappy new years kickoff. I hope you were able to salvage some of the mods from the old one. If not, you get relive the fun of modding all over again. Half the thrill is seeing the improvements take place and walking out the next day to see the "before and after."

I spent my Saturday with my 11 year son and my father in law (he's a 71 Z28 owner) painting my Brembos from the stock grey to shiny red! I couldn't be happier with how they came out! Now I need to finish detailing the wheel wells and the wheels themselves before remounting everything and spin the car around in the garage to finish the other side. As you can see, there's not a lot of room in this big garage with all of this horsepower parked in here!!!

Just changed oil in the rear diff. I believe it's good to have it changed before getting frozen.

Good to get them started early. I notice most young people are not mechanically inclined these days. Great job on the brakes. Nice blown Z/28.

Thanks!! He's a total car kid, knows every model of every car out there, and he couldn't get the tools in his hands quick enough. Grandpa and I had to slow him down a bit! He's just like me when I was a kid, but I never got the chance to wrench on anything until later in life. He'll always be a motor head!

I also really need to find out about those "running lights" on the new one; when do they ever come on?

Oh no!!!! That is awful!!! Can you move any of your modded parts from the old one to the new one? Like the red calipers?
