OK, lets try to be at the track as close to 11:00 as possible. The process will be to arrive, sign waivers at the gate, then head up to the paddock no later than 11:15 to purchase tickets and stage at pit in. (We actually enter the track from pit road and exit off turn 1, instead of entering at turn 1 from outside the track like we do for Thunder Road laps). If you're late just stop at the gate to sign your waiver and they'll send you up. Everyone in the car has to sign a waiver. There's a large group of Corvettes and Mustangs going off at 11:00, with us going at 11:30. 12:00 and 12:30 are fairly open but there's a group of about 80 cars at 1:00. So, if we can be on track at 11:30, we should be able to get both runs in (for those of us going twice) before the 1:00 group gets there. Then we can head out for lunch and/or the kart track for some real calamity.
Also, due to it being opening weekend, and the amount of groups there, this event is fairly docile compared to some of other excursions. There likely won't be any 120mph jaunts down the back straight. The pace drivers are there to teach us the line so if everyone stays in the tracks of the car in front of them we should have some good laps. And remember, as always, NO PASSING and NO BURNOUTS! We have a reputation as it is, lol

Since Mark mentioned the proper line through the corners - I've been reading a Skip Barber book called "Going Faster", It outlines the basics and then goes into very advances cornering techniques and also explains the physics. Much more interesting than it sounds, and it will make you faster on the track... or in some cases keep you ON the track
