LS3 or L99?

Guys may argue this but you have to consider most dynojets read about 10% too high.

I believe you will hit the octane wall around 500-520 on the L99 and around 560-580 on the LS3 at about 9-10 psi

With the right cam you can reach around 600 on L99 and 650 on LS3 on 93.

The .82 AR will give you more headroom by lowering back pressure.

I'm in the UK and have a 2012/13 L99 EU Spec and pretty much stock (CAI and back boxes removed). Dyno run showed 330 RWHP.

Would like to get closer to 500 RWHP and believe a supercharger might be the easiest and probably cheapest option. Is that true?

There aren't many specialists in UK - a company called Monkfish are GM specialist for Monaro's/VXR8's. They recommend the Magnuson. Is this a good choice or are there other makes that would do a better job (Whipple?)

So would this meet my expectations and would anything else need upgrading at the same time. The car is my daily drive and won't be tracked. Thanks.

I changed my stock pump and FPCM on my 2010 Camaro .I placed a ZL1 pump and FPCM. Do I need to have it retuned?

Those numbers are right on for an L99.

Our plug and play JRE Street brawler package will make 505 RWHP on 93 octane.

I sell these as a DIY kit and Provide the custom tuning via email.

We can use any of the major brand superchargers and achieve the same results plus or minus 5 RWHP.

The Magnuson is a great choice as well as SLP and Whipple.

The Whipple is larger and will give more room to grow your build if you desire.

Yes you need a custom tune to properly control the new FPCM and pump.

Ted any hands on experience or word on the new vengeance 2.6l from Magnuson? Just curious how much butter it will be than my 2.3 I have now. I know there's a lot more choices out that will make more hp but I like my jack shaft Maggie and the wine from the coged belts. Thanks

I have a very strong relationship with Magnuson and get all the inside information some of which I can not share until given the OK.

I can tell you that new 2650 Supercharger is one bad ass piece and will raise the bar quite a bit.

It moves more air at the same rotor speed will taking less HP to turn, this all comes from the efficiency of the new design.

Eaton Launches Newest Supercharger within its Twin Vortices Series (TVS®) Portfolio

Date: November 1, 2016

LAS VEGAS, NV … Power management company Eaton announced today at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Show the expansion of its TVS Supercharger platform to now include the TVS R2650, which is the largest supercharger rotating group ever produced by Eaton with several new features designed to maximize efficiency and performance at the upper RPM range of engines.

The new, optimized higher twist, 4-lobe rotor design is 15 percent larger than its predecessor -- the TVS R2300 -- and flows 25 percent more air. The R2650 features 170-degree twist lobes which shorten the rotor lead to help maintain peak efficiency at higher speeds and pressure ratios, an optimized length-over-diameter ratio improves sealing, larger bearings and thicker timing gears enhances durability, and pressure relief ports in the bearing plate reduces input power.

“We took the proven TVS technology with its broad operating efficiencies and created a larger design with the R2650 in order to generate more airflow in the upper RPM range without compromising low to mid-range performance,” said Brian Contat, product director, Boosting, Eaton Vehicle Group. “Our aftermarket distributors now have a very dynamic product that will allow them to deliver outstanding performance for the street and track. We can’t wait to see what they will do with this innovative rotating assembly. This new design is going to create huge horsepower in the performance aftermarket arena.”

Improvements of the R2650 versus the R2300 include:
15 percent larger (2650cc vs. 2300 cc);
25 percent more air flow at 18,000 RPM and 14 psi boost (2.0 Pressure Ratio);
Almost 6 percent more efficient; and,
18 percent less input power required.

“The R2650 supercharger has been in development for over two years and tested for over 2,500 hours using SAE standards,” said Matt Swartzlander, senior specialist, Boosting, Eaton Vehicle Group. “Like all Eaton rotating assemblies, the R2650 is validated to OEM specifications, so we are confident that no other aftermarket supercharger can match its durability.”
“The all-new TVS R2650 is the ultimate, large displacement supercharger providing refined power and performance with unrivaled levels of durability,” said Contat.

Eaton is a power management company with 2015 sales of $20.9 billion. Eaton provides energy-efficient solutions that help our customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficiently, safely and sustainably. Eaton has approximately 95,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries. For more information, visit www.eaton.com.

Hello Ted
I have a 2012 camaro L99 With a magnuson supercharger and Kooks full Exhaust System.
The engine is stock inside
I have about 500 HP

The next step is, LS3 conversion, new cam, Injector Dynamics 850, flex fuel conversion.
I would like about 750 HP

Do you think I must change the cylinder heads ?
What cam install for street ?

I think about a 415 Rotaring Assemblies kit With -25cc Dish Pistons
What do you think ?

thank you
Oliver

It can be done but will be really risky on stock rods and pistons.

700 RWHP is where I would be comfortable on E-85

A forged rotating assembly and good heads are easily a 750 package.

Ted.
