People can't read. I'm looking at 911s and vipers.
Then again...if he could read...he would have bought a Z....R....1 used instead of a ZL1 for the same price. Got one here for 70k....with 9k miles on it.

it's like your crying over spilt milk, the front bumper can be cheaply repainted for a few hundred $, or you can just put a bra on it. You haven't had 1 major repair or problem with the car so it could be a lot worse. Dont Screw it up with stupid mods and it will probably run great for 200,000 miles.
I've had mine for 6 months, had the same phone synced the entire time, not a problem, cant complain about a shift knob, very easy to replace, although I personally love the design, t's as unique as the rest of the car. Paint looks great, I see other new nonGM cars with orange peel that look like shit , mine has none and I absolutely love the color. I think GM has always had some of the best paint jobs. |

- paint quality/thickness/'scratchability' if you will
- engine power/fluctuations (one day great, one day feels slow, etc.) - incorrect TPMS and MPG readouts - heater makes odd 'humming' noise (have yet to get looked at) - field of view 1. Paint still vastly better than most brands 2. Engine Fluctuations, this is your imagination, not the car 3. who really cares, it's main purpose is to aleart when air is low, and the readings flucuate because pressure increases as the tires warm up. 4. it's the fan 5. to be expected, dont like it then buy a minivan. 6. complain about the halogen bulbs? just put a set of $150 hid's in, problem solved, what do you expect for a $23k car? |

Im aboutto buy a brand new SS 1LE and this paint quality issue sucks. Its absolutly unacceptable that any car maker is still doing that. I hope 2013 are better...damn.
Mine will be a 1SS with no option except NPP LOL...so less parts will break!

To each their own I guess. I guess a 911 would be awesome with its $2000 brake jobs and ridiculous maintenance cost or the viper that requires finess and rides like go cart. I wouldn't even consider those cars in the same class as the camaro. With all the dislikes about the Camaro but seeming to be somewhat power envious have thought about an M3? They are fat, have amazing fit and finish, and vey reliable.

Also, a coworker with a Boxter just turned 80,000 miles and made his first major repair. He was leaking trans fluid and it was jamming into over drive. Total cost to repair AT A PORSCHE dealer was $800 for a new seal and clearing out the trans. That's not bad.....since we pay $300 to repair busted 2006 crown victoria seals....

If I WANTED a ZR1 I would've bought one! But it would've been new! I don't buy used?!?!? Sorry! Good luck with the viper or 911!

I understand our frustration but you are on a forum with a bunch of people that love their car. Trying to find anybody on here to agree or jump on your bandwagon is going to be difficult or impossible. I'm not trying to flame or disrespect but I think you are looking for indirect advice in the wrong place.
