Maybe I'm wrong, but don't you need cats with the same size fitments for the 3" exhaust?

So you have the cat back for sale, and how cheap is cheap, send me a message and I may make the drive up.

Ill sell the whole works. everything but cats and headers for 350. I just noticed my wiseguy son forgot to log out and I posted under his alias The Flash or something. He's only 12 and thinks he's funny. You'll NEVER see him on here again

Mine keeps slipping ....I align it, tighten it, drive it a few miles and it moves again. And that's after many readjustments and re-tightening. I'm using the expensive butt joint clamps and even tried the original clamps with stainless steel bolts. It's always the passenger side tail pipe that ends up sitting a half an inch further out the back.

And it's not as if I'm straining anything ... I loosen off all clamps and make sure it is aligned before I start tightening the clamps.

Has anyone else noticed how much this system grows/expands when it's hot???? Like about 3/8" out the back of the car.

Perhaps I'm having more troubles than others because my car's supercharged so a lot more engine torque.

I know I should get it welded ... but I'm struggling to find an exhaust shop that wants to touch something they didn't install.

One exhaust shop suggested to get it aligned and tightened, leave it on the axle stands, run it and get it hot ... the re-tighten bolts. This wont help with the butt joint clamps because they are already done up as far as they'll go.

Frustrating!

I welded the joints right behind the mufflers. Well didn't "weld" but tacked them and then re installed the clamps to ensure seal. No more moving now.

Either weld it up or buy some upgraded clamps and your leaks will be gone.

You guys are killing me!
Mine were delivered yesterday. I do not possess the ability to install myself. A new friend and Camaro5 member (the bastard known as SOPMOD) has graciously offered to do the instal at his house. I know it's a pain and a huge favor/imposition... so for the heck of it I stopped by my local exhaust shop to see what they'd charge to do the install... they refuse to do header installs anymore after an issue they had on another job... happy for the exhaust shop they can turn away business, sorry for brother Al, he's still on the hook.

WARNING::!! This impressive system is delivered in a HUGE, HEAVY box. Every bit of 5' x 3' x 2'.... my poor wife had to drag them in by herself from the front porch.
Should have had them shipped direct to Al!

For you guys that have had to transport these for your install, did you have to take it all out of the box to fit it in the Camaro? There's no stinkin way the box will fit in the car!

I can't wait to hear and feel them on my car!

Agreed.
Are you going to run it and see if a code comes up or you going to Tune it?

I put the whole exhaust wrapped up in the trunk. It fits.
