With what's projected as far as Chevy dealership closings (and/or reductions) the next 12 months, a discount might be the last thing on my mind if I had an order in waiting to be built. JMO. But trm is right - eventually they will be discounted...

Just like the Corvettes are right now.

I am fully serious. As many of you know, I was the first to order at the 2nd largest dealer in the country. At MSRP. I have found a local dealer with plenty of allocation left who I placed a new order with since he was accepting GMS/GSU where my original dealer was not.

I got the new order pricing in writing and so did a friend I brought along who also placed a GMS deal this morning. There's a total of only four Camaros sold at this dealership so far including ours. The fifth spot is reserved for Mac1 here. His original allocation was 31. That leaves 26 in my book.

GMS is employee and by far the largest discount.
GSU (supplier) is equivalent.

Most dealers will give you a $50-$100 bird dog for referrals....The way I see it, Steve owes you some coin!

Probably get my girlfriend to drive with me. I guess I could get a flight too, I'll figure that out when the time comes. Steve told me I'd be moving up cause of the constraints on the V6 but now I read thats over with. But waiting part of the fun!

I would re-order my 2ss from steve if he would courtesy deliver it to Arkansas!!! My current ordering dealer has none of his 6 allocations even pulled and I'm #3, I want my car before august!!!!!!

I've found two dealers so far sticking to MSRP. Neither one is offering Student/Supplier discount. One of them already has 130 deposits. They told me today that, barring something dramatic they probably wouldn't get car #131 until next Spring!

Anyone know of a SoCal dealer accepting discounts and/or with remaining allocations?

I just ordered from Steve and I'm priority 18. I ordered a 1SS/RS 6spd Manual SIM with the BA pkg and the white rally stripe pkg. I know a lot of people think the CGM stripes will look better, but I like the subtleness of the whites.
