A bit of advice on Dodge/Chrysler products, based on my experiences (owned a Dodge Stratus, two PT Cruisers, and best friend owns one of the Hemi Ram trucks)...Buy an extended warranty for the entire vehicle and don't mess with the powertrain so your lifetime warranty stays valid. None of my Dodge/Chrysler products held up to 100k miles without some major and expensive repairs needed. Almost lost an entire PT due to fire when there was a short in the multi-function stick (lights, wipers, turn signal).

Enjoy your new toy and thanks for buying from Chrysler - maybe I'll get some of my tax dollars back from them at some point in the future.

Run as fast as you can to your dealer and cut a deal for the Chrysler extended warranty. I've had 3 of them and everyone paid for themselves (is that proper grammar) before 60,000 miles.

Congrats on the new car dude! And you're making it veeeeeeeery hard for me to go with the Camaro! I'm liking the Challenger more and more. I think that when it comes down to it I will have to test drive both a Camaro and a Challenger. I'm still liking Camaro more, but the Challenger is an impressive sight in person (haven't seen the Camaro in person yet).

Im sure there are many that say the same about GM cars. Just take care of your stuff, change the fluids as recommended and you should be ok. Dodge has the lifetime warranty, where is GM's? My Dodge has been great.

Great looking car Speedy.

My son brought one today. Like you said it was too good for him to pass up with employee pricing, $1,000 rebate and 0% which saved thousands in interest. I tried to get him to buy a Hemi Orange one, but he wanted black. He really wanted Titanium, but it was going to take several months if he ordered it, so he brought one off the lot. I also like the exhaust tone.

I really like the Challenger, but I still believe my wife's 2010 2SS/RS Camaro will be better (but more costly) and worth the wait .

Also maybe the officer just wanted to check out your new Challenger! I know I would. You do not see many on the road around here (Tulsa area).

He has his moment until the Camaro comes out

I wondered that...when he finally passed by I noticed he'd rolled down his window to possibly hear the exhaust?

We'll see. I'll wager the Challenger will warrant more gawking than the Camaro. I have a bad feeling Camaros will become as common as Mustangs. They're only going to build around 30K Challengers this year if that compared to the planned 100K Camaros.

Compared to the planned 100k camaros? They've already sold what, 15,000 camaros, compared to the 30k challengers.

If the challenger comes out with the new DI pheonix V6 before I get my camaro, I might seriously consider buying one and making it look like the 'cuda SEMA concept. That was one hawt car.
