Ran into a few issues with the rockers interfering with the heads. Making a trip to the store to get what I need to remove some material to make them fit, then its measuring pushrod time.

No, there's no reason to run a cover in my opinion. Some people do, I will not.

i used emory cloth to shave down my edges, they are super soft and attempted to try my bench grinder , it ate it up super fast, so i decided to do it by hand..limiting any chance of taking more then needed.

No no no. Removing material from the HEAD, not the rockers. lol...
The checking pushrod is too long also, need the shorter model. These rods will end up less then 7.8 |

yea, that could prove more difficult. my rockers were hitting the head /valve cover lip area...just had to take a little off the rocker...

Warning: Beck porn follows. Going to spend some more time polishing it up, the top and runners especially (it WAS used after all...) but man oh man is this thing nice. Getting close. |

Lookin' good! I really like your "shop", and seems your priorities are straight; #1 build engine. #2 hang pictures.
I don't remember reading in here, will your hood clear that intake?
