Mine has to do a full index (7min. 35sec.) every time I get in the car. Starts with the last song then back to the first song on the drive. Needless to say I am just about tired of hearing that song. My ride to work takes about 6 minutes one way. You can see the fun with the USB drives huh.

hmmm i have been lurking for a while trying to find a solution for the usb thing...

looks like you can try using the usb drive first to see how well it works (a very low cost alternative) and if it doesnt you can always go the ipod route...

correct?

Hi codeman71,

I have a 2014 with Nav. I see the Nav button replaces the Pause/Play button. I had heard that to pause a song being played via USB thumb drive that the Pause/Play would be on the touch screen. I do not have the button on my screen. Should it be there?

Thanks,
Jim

Just turn the radio off. That will pause it.

Zune Will Not Index

The vehicle can only remember the index of 1 device at a time (other than iPod, which stores its own index on itself).
I have a 2011 and the first time I plugged my Zune in it worked after only indexing for a couple of minutes. After a few weeks I updated my Zune and changed the songs on it, now it will not index. Left it plugged in for over 45 minutes and it still will not work. The player works with headphones and I want to be able to use it through the interface, any suggestions?
