How do you turn off the optional rapidfire brake lights? Is there a switch of some sort on the taillight, or is it a matter of wiring? I don't have the taillights yet, but I will by this weekend.

Thanks

There are internal switches in the tailights themselves...its all in the instructions when you receive them...if you need help let me know. I installed mine today took me about 2 hours and a 6 pack...think I would have finished earlier if I skipped the six pack...lol Took lil beer breaks!!! But they look awesome!!!! Will post vids tomorrow or the lights...I know there are already on here but I want mine here too...lol!!!

Excellent!! Thanks a ton. I can't wait to see the video. Hopefully they are working perfectly. Are the switches literally inside the lamp assembly where you would have to separate the halves (I wouldn't imagine they would actually create it like this though), or just switches on the external portion of the taillights? Thanks and congrats. I bet them look amazing.

I believe they fixed the issue. I have had mine installed a week before the Fest and I have been in plenty of rain storms since and no water or moisture in the lights.

I ordered directly from Todd at Technostalgia last month. He cautioned me it would be 3 to 4 weeks. They shipped at just over 3 weeks - got 'em Monday, installed last night. No problems. Look great!!
I heard there were issues with cramped spaces on the removal, so I removed the tailpiece and took it inside the house to work in the a/c.

At this point, VERY happy. Special thanks to Todd and chozn4service

Awesome man! Can we see picture or video of them working? Is there any t-tapping or splicing required with these new taillights?

For anyone that didn't remove the bumper for installation of the taillights, how long did it take you for all 4 taillight installation? What tools are necessary other than a wrench, lol?

There's no splicing required. A typical installation can take an hour, but a lot of people are EXTRA cautious so it can take up to 3 or 4. You just need the basic stuff to install them: a screw driver, ratchet, etc. The install instructions are pretty in-depth so it's not too bad.

That's awesome. Thank you very much. I was a bit nervous that it would be over my head with wiring. I just picked up my taillights last night and when I opened the box I saw lots wires, lol. That's about the time I started thinking I better do this right. It seems that there is a metal bracket with 4 load resistors attached to it already, but looks like everything else may be just connected the harnesses that are pre-made, and maybe some grounding with the supplied/attached connectors. I'll take an in depth look at the directions tonight. I want to get the lights installed on Saturday, so I can go to a car show on Sunday.

I installed mine the weekend before the Fest. I was one of the cautious ones and it took me 2-3 hours. Now that I have done it, I could probably do it in much less. One word of advice, remove the rear bumper. It takes 10 minutes and will greatly ease your install. Second word of advice, don't forget to install the wire to the battery. I thought it was for show mode and didn't realize that it was needed for regular functions as well. I ended up hooking up show mode after the fact since it looked pretty cool. The wiring is not difficult, but can easily be hooked incorrectly. If you're lights don't function properly the first time, try switching around the plug-in connectors. The directions are tough to understand when it mentions "the ramp" so a little trial and error helped me figure it out.

They are awesome lights, I am sure they will look great on your car with everything else you have done!

Thanks Deke, I really appreciate it. I figured taking off the rear bumper would have taken a longgggg time so I just ruled it out. However, if it's going to make life easier in terms of removing the nuts on the crews and installing them, then it may be worth the time. I will definitely double check everything, as well as make sure all functions are working correctly, and ensure I install the wire to the battery. I'll be letting you guys know if I get frustrated or stuck on the install. LOL

Thanks again, and you have one hell of an amazing looking car. You chose and continue to choose fantastic mods that add to the car perfectly. It looks mean as hell.
