Got my car.... my IOM interior came with blue gauge lights - Page 11 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Crazy. I picked up my Camaro today and on my way home in the dark I was wondering why the rings were blue. I also ordered the orange interior.

My rings are blue too...and yes I have the IOM interior.

So, is there a consensus? Is this normal or a screw up on the 2LT/RS models?

Earlier in the thread it was determined that the only Camaros with orange rings are 2SS cars with IOM seats that were sold in the U.S.A. Cars will have blue rings if they are Canadian or V6 or if they don't have orange interiours.

I agree... all Camaros should have all orange lights inside like German cars

I was 100 percent certain that I was getting the Orange clusters with the IOM package. This is rubbish! Can someone post a good picture of their Orange cluster?

Yeah bummer eh? You get used to the blue lights pretty quick but this is what the orange ones look like...

It does suck that you pay for an IO interior and end up with blue lights. Why should the SS be the only one with the Orange light rims. The 2LT pays good money too.

Yeah I hardly see the need for 4 different gauge clusters either. My Canadian car switches to MPH for when I go to work in the US every day just fine. Why not just put one cluster in all the cars and then everyone with the orange interiour could have orange lights? All Camaros have both orange and blue lights though if you look at the dashboard as a whole though... we just got a couple more blue ones than we thought were were getting. It's not like we have a whole orange interiour with two blue lights in the middle.

If you go back and read through the pages, fbodfather explained thIat the original plan was to only offer the IOM interior on the SS, and of course the SS cluster is different from the LS/LT cluster. Supplier was contracted to this. later on, it was decided to offer the IOM on the LT as well, but it was too late in the game to have the LT cluster for the IOM done differently. Not sure why non US cars were done that way though.

though this is something that might could be remedied for the 2011 MY

I don't even get that? Why are they different? Just for a slightly higher redline in the V6? No orange gauges just for that?

ummmm, funnny this is in the US,

in the middle east the ring is always blue no matter what your interior is

mine is like your io interior, but blue rings, my friends are all the same
