Lmfao right now, went out to pull fuses tonight after reading these posts,,,,,,,saying to myself how the heck do you pull those tiny bastards with little to no light. flashlights all packed up for big move. anyway couldn't really see the chart so I used my iPad, found them and said how the f you gonna pull those with no needle nose pliers,,,,looked for anything then just happened to look at picture of fuse box on page five and said to myself well that sure is a strange looking fuse,,,,,,,,,good night all.

What If you have an aftermarket tune installed. Is there any point to a fuse pull?

That's what I've been saying. And the issue was not the low octane issue, because according to HP Tuners I'm running ~24 degrees timing WOT. (when I don't get knock retard).

I actually had to change where I start my shifts at since the fuse pull. I started hitting the rev limiter in every gear.

That seems a bit odd, when I disconnect my battery to do mods, some take a long time before Im done, that should be the same as a fuse pull in theory correct?

So I need to get my tune redone after every battery disconnect possibly?

I was under the impression thats why you left the fuse pulled for 5 hours or overnight...the backup battery took that long to run down......I have had the battery disconnected for longer than 5 hours before.

From everything I've gathered the battery back-up is between the fuse in the trunk (#13) and the battery. So the trunk fuse will kill the power to the ECU for sure.

Didn't do anything for me.. in fact car feels weaker .. it had an opposite effect for me??? I put the fuses back on then road down to a fueling station and filled it all up with 93. Since I've had it i had put only high octane in it.. but not sure what it had in the tank when i took delivery from the dealer.

Did your baby your car for the first 1500 miles, or drive it hard from day one?

You need to have 93 in the tank prior to putting the fuses back in.
