You def need to get the diminished value I did on my SRT-4 and it was well worth it... Think they cut me a check for 3-4k if I remember correctly.

Will my insurance company take care of that? Or do I have to get a lawyer? I don't really know where to start with this one... gonna talk to insurance agent tomorrow and see what he says...

Ya know, it really doesn't look that bad. Your door is trashed but everything else looks easily fixed. I'm pretty sure your car wouldn't qualify to be totalled unless the frame is bent or there's some other structural damage.

Your car is worth MORE now to you than it was. Want to know why? (Don't laugh!). This car is GOOD LUCK to you! Your car SAVED YOUR LIFE!

If I were you, I would not sell it or trade away. I'd get it fixed, PROPERLY, and love my car even more.

I was actually just thinking about that today... been getting frustrated with everything that keeps happening regarding this situation, so I'm trying to look for something good... this car held up like a beast, and sacrificed itself for me... it's like my own personal Bumblebee... haha

long story short - Dustin had the car taken to the dealership I had gotten my car from... I ordered new bowties for my car which came in today (ordered 8Jul, delivered 13Jul) and proceeded to take them to the body shop for them to paint CGM prior to putting on my car... Was talking with the body shop manager about the car, etc, and he starts talking about the one that just came in after being wrecked... I tell him yup, know all about it, worked with the guy for a few years, known him for a long time... He asks if I saw it, and since I hadn't, he showed it to me...
(yes, that was the short version! haha!)

and Dustin, the offer still stands....

Dustin, I just found out about this from the ABM thread......man...I am so sorry to see this. Looks pretty bad...and that is coming from a guy in the bodyshop biz since I was 19. I hope it all comes out okay. I don't know but, I think I would sue this clown and his insurance company. I mean this was a pre-order car, you can't really fix or replace this to any satisfaction as far as I would be concerned. Man, I really feel sick, my friend, I really do.

Thanks for the pics... can't really see much damage to the inside, other than where the airbags deployed... though I'm sure all of the innards of the door are toast, haha...

And what is this offer? I don't recall...

I thought about this too, and I even asked my insurance guy about it, but he says it would be hard to do since there's really no way to predict what the car's value could be in the future... as of right now, it's kind of like a ficticious number... sucks, I know... I wouldn't even know where to start with that one though. I don't want to be greedy, I just want my car back in 100% working condition... anything else above and beyond that would just be a bonus. Of course, I wouldn't complain about it...
