I fueled up this morning and it showed 306. I do most of my driving in the backroads of southwest Virginia. Every once in a while I cruise up on I-81 for a few miles. I'm retired so I'm not in a hurry to go anyplace. The fastest I ever go is about 75. I got my SS mostly for the escetic value. People see an SS, they know it's fast. You don't have to necessarily prove it.

I drove from SW Georgia to Upstate NY (and back) last summer - about 3,000 miles total. I'd guess 80% of that was interstate, 15% state 2-lane highways, and 5% "in town". Never touched my DIC - oh, well... you know what I mean - the whole trip except to set everything to zero at the very start of the trip, with a full tank. I didn't hot-rod it (much), but I let her run on the interstates - usually 70-75 mph. When I arrived back home, the DIC average MPGs read 24.3, which I was quite happy with.

mine is based purely on a less than 4 hour trip on flat roads so there you go, more than certain palmer had some gassing it through mountain areas so try a shorter trip somebody on smoother ground and let us know

I reset all my controls at every fill up. I have recorded every gas fill up and put that all on my excel spread sheet. Below is a small sample of that spread sheet. The bottom of my sheet has all the totals.

23.9 mpg in a V6 for 65,000 miles is an excellent result, especially in a V6 Camaro. This is very believable though very few drivers could probably repricate this. What I still find difficult to believe are the drivers who claim they can do this and even better in a V8 Camaro.

I'm keeping a steady 23-24 mpg in my V6. On the road with cruise on, I can get 30mpg usually but I've gotten as high as 34 mpg on some trips

Henry's first Model T left the factory on September 27, 1908 and on Sepember 28, 1908, men first started discussing gas mileage...
