UPDATE: sorry guys I know I still haven't started this swap yet, but I have run into a few issues.. Having to buy a new set of tires before winter starts to hit (which isn't long) so I am having to get tires before I get the last few parts to finish up this swap. And plus it is winter now, and I am thinking about buying new heads and a cam so it might be a couple weeks or so before I get started. Hopefully it's sooner, but I do need about $500 of parts to get this started. Thank you guys for holding on, this swap is going to get done no matter how hard it is, or what it takes.. I'll keep you guys posted on the stuff when I buy the parts and actually get started.

And I can't get pics to upload from my phone? Idk why, but I will try to post them from my computer later!

Having to spend $1000 on tires set me back. We are going to be doing a lot of work to it this weekend though since we will have decent weather in my area. We will be taking the rear end out, take the dash harness out, all the modules, shifter, get the new oil pan put on, change crank pulley... And if I get the motor mounts and ac compressor bracket we will mount the ac compressor and grind down the spots that got welded on the block so we can bolt up the motor mounts! Until I can gather up a few lines and hoses that I need to buy. But it's finally starting to come together. Hopefully I can get the rest of the parts ordered this week and be ready to start pulling the v6 motor and Trans out by the end of next week or so. Sorry for such a long build, but I've had other matters to take care of first. And race season is months away, so no rush now. but I am ready to start and get it done!

*still won't let me upload pictures? Any ideas why?

Great job Austin.
Slow going, but a project of this magnitude, as a shade tree mechanic takes a while.
Don't sweat the grief when others start giving up and saying it won't happen. When I saw this I figured it would be in for the long haul over the next year or so. But the results should be excellent.
I know when I tackle this for myself, I'm going to need a few weeks vacation and a DD to get around while my Lola is having her heart transplant.

Thanks man, yes it is a very big project. But I'm not giving up! I'll complete it soon, and I can't wait to see the results. I'm just glad I have the capability of doing this work myself. And you will definately need a few weeks lol.. And a DD. But I have been outside looking at some stuff and got a few pictures for you guys!

Yeah, at least a few weeks.

My plan is to continue to DD my V6 while I strip down the V8 donor car. Make any mods while the parts are out.
And then spend to 3 or4 weeks swapping parts out of and into the V6 once I sell the V8 shell off for scrap.
It's all about staging and planning.

Yeah, in Kentucky they aren't very strict on stuff like that. That's why I'm attempting it.

UPDATE: bought my harmonic balancer pulley last week, it came in yesterday. Bought the rest of my ac compresor lines/ trans cooler lines today so they should be in by next week! Now all I need to get started is motor mount brackets, ac compressor bracket, transmission support, driver side rear rotor/ backing plate. We will be doing a lot of work this weekend getting everything out and ready to go on my car. I will take a lot of pictures and update this weekend a couple times!

While the motor is out, it would be wise to inspect the clutch.
