Loved it on my V6 A6 LFX engine.

Not needed on my ZL1 M6 engine.

Listen if they don't find out, then your warranty is fine. And with this mod once you take it out there is zero chance they will find out.

Just simply lie and keep your warranty. I don't see the big deal

To be clear, I'm not saying that's a reason not to buy one. I just wish manufacturers would be upfront about their products. If it voids the warranty, say so. Then customers can make informed decisions.

Okaym I ordered one, but I'm still just a little skeptical. However, I think I understand the technology. In drive by wire, the gas pedal has a sensor. Like any sensor, it is regulated or directed by voltage. The deeper you press, the higher the voltage, the more responsive the throttle body becomes. The controller simply increases the voltage signal to the TB which opens it up quicker. It makes sense. Not unlike the old aftermarket TPS that tricked the computer into thinking the throttle was more open than it was.

As long as it is removed, I don't see it voiding the warranty. Unless the ECM is so savvy at recording data that it shows a strong variable in this voltage signal. Even so, it could just be written off as a faulty sensor. Truthfully, as long as the dealer can get paid by GM, they really don't care what or how it happened.

But as far this thing doing any damage, I don't see it doing that either. Since it doesn't actually increase output (power), it's not pushing the power train or drivetrain to do anything beyond it's engineered capability. The only way it's going to hurt the car is through driver error via late shift and over revving the engine. IMHO

Which is good for me, as I'm approaching my third oil change with my Camaro. The first two I did at dealership service centers because I was there anyway for warranty repairs.

I don't have the room (townhouse) to change it myself, so I was going to bring her to one of those 10-minute oil change places. There is one that I trust, as my mother had brought her Hyundai Accent there for the past 10 years (which just passed 200k miles, before she traded it in).

I was paranoid that the dealership service center would sabotage my Camaro to get it in for some out-of-warranty non-powertrain repair...now I'm paranoid that the oil change place won't use the right oil, even if I specifically request a type.

I bring my own oil and filter to a local place that does a lot of performance car work.

Well, I might need to change my vote. Getting convinced now that I might just need one of these.

I do the same thing. If it is good enough for my friends collectable Chevelles, it is good enough for me............... but I still stand over them watching like a hawk!
