You really need a good set of speakers or headphones to be able to hear the difference. One thing you can't tell is the actual volume level. In the videos the Retro Chambered sound quieter but it is actually louder. We just had to turn the sound levels down because they were peaking out. Overall, the Retro Chambers has a much deep tone and is a bit louder than the ATAK. The ATAK has a raspiness in it at higher RPMS that the Retro Chambered does not.

My retro chambered arrives today

Cannot wait to put it on and match it to my long tube headers.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

No complaints so far with the ATAK on my car, love hearing it start up especially when it's cool outside. Couldn't go with the deep tone like a lot have on here and around my place just felt like I was going with the mainstream. Bought the ATAK for the sound and it sounds more old school. But you can't go wrong with either just all depends on what sound you want.

Just wondering if it's cold out does it change the startup volume? I know cold engine is a lot louder

Its not significantly louder but it is a bit. Enough to have to adjust our sound equipment.

Look forward to hearing how you like it.

Cold starts are louder. When the temps are cold the ECM runs a program to warm up the cats quickly because cold cats don't work well. It sets the idle higher, runs a leaner fuel map, and ignites slightly later than normal. These measures put as much heat as possible into the exhaust and make things a little louder.

Sweet good info. Yea there's a huge difference between cold starts and starting at the gas station for example

That's why I like starting it on cool days, so I can hear the rumble longer. Even when you drive it around for a bit, the sound is a little louder until everything comes up to temp.

That and the cars just run stronger with cooler air temps.

What would be your opinion on the SW catback vs solo cat back??
I'm ready to pull the trigger but I can't do no mufflers, I want a good sound but not crazy loud, I want to be able to listen to the radio or talk to a passenger. No drone is also a big factor. I need to make a decision before the sales end on Monday. Lol

Do SW! Especially if you have Lt headers. I love mine

Honestly how loud is it? Highway speeds? I'm just doing the cat back now. Maybe headers and HFCs later. I'm old not looking for ear shattering lol but I would like a nice deep sound

It's not bad at all, I love it. It's quiet at idle but you can tell there's a rumble, but once you get on it that's where it sings. Could be different since I have LT headers

Obviously it's loud it literally has no mufflers. And those chambered sections don't really count as muffler lol idc if they give you a paper. And with headers whatever exhaust you have will be so much louder
