Has the OP stated what action he is taking or would be taking even with a fund to assist with the costs?

The fund will be used as a retainer for an attorney to force GM to adhere to the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket or recycled part.

The FTC says the manufacturer or dealer must show that the aftermarket or recycled part caused the need for repairs BEFORE denying warranty coverage.

I have just received word from the OP that someone from GM Executive Office has reached out to speak to him. OP will be returning the call at his earliest convenience.

Hopefully there will be some good news. In the meantime, keep signing the petition. At this point we are not sure what the deal is....
