That's a pretty good question. If we look at the $40K price point that we were around, I suppose I can't think of any that stand out as any better. The point I was trying to make is I was not convinced to buy a GEN 5 when we test drove non-1LE cars base don what I was getting (performance and looks). I also have to be honest that if the product is not made by GM, it basically is not even on my radar! I agree they are good looking cars.

I see what you're saying, and I wouldn't do it personally, but some people just like to make their own versions of Camaro's. I don't actually think that if they're labeling a car 'ZLT' or 'LTZ' that they're trying to make other people think it's a v8. Unless it's just strictly labeled as 'SS' on a v6.

Most people unless into cars don't know what majority of the badges mean, when I tell people mine is a zl1 they think it's a v6 or a base model? I think mainly because of the "1" in the model. Like plenty of people have already said though as long as it makes them happy who cares, if they have to pretend it's something it's not to feel better about it o well! They pay the payment not me.

I'm just guessing, but I bet there are more made up badges on V-6 cars than on V8 cars.

Just seeing this inspires me. Now Im thinking about getting some LFX badging myself, just on the rear. A grille decal would be cool also. |

It takes guts to display what you have for all to see, even when society thinks you have nothing special at all.
Says the guy who refers to his V6 as "vicious animal" |

That's what a Chevy rep said Camaro meant when it was first released in 67. "Camaro is a small 'vicious animal' that eats mustangs." I'm not hiding the 217 I've got under the hood, I don't even know why you're coming at me like that either. |

Let's also ignore the fact that in that same post I said I'm going to add LFX V6 badging. Not too much just a little.

Camaro is french slang for friend or companion. I read that in super chevy mag years ago.

I heard your definition way back in high school from our auto body teacher. He was a camaro nut and that's all he would talk about.

Google it. I'm not mixing any stories. You know I'm a salesman so you should know That I know the history, Chevy even calls it "a vicious animal that eats mustangs" in the online training courses I took for product knowledge. Yes, the prototype was called the panther...but the Car became unveiled as the "Camaro". it was then that GM executives were asked "what is a Camaro?"... It's just a tongue and cheek definition of Camaro that the executives said on the fly all in fun, and it's stuck around ever since. |
