I would say there will be some added weight on it also... has to be with the larger glass area for the back window.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying that it would be nice. And, I wouldn't mind if it was a couple pounds more.

Wait!

The T-tops in my '86 Dodge Daytona C/S did not leak.

Sure, if you hit it with a blast of 150psi water from a coin-op car wash it would leak...I'd be willing to bet the other Daytonas without t-tops would have leaked too under those conditions.

My problem was that I had two heavy panes of tempered glass that I had to store in two big vinyl envelopes and totally consume the entire hatch area.

Or, I could just leave them in my room and suffer the consequences if a sudden downpour came out of nowhere.

It was cool but time consuming and heavy.

It doesn't look like the new Camaro's have a very good shape to do a T-top. The removable tops would fall too short of the back slope of the cabin and would look a little odd. Heck, I think a convertible with a cage or roll bar would look better than A T-top.

I don't like the moonroof that was in the earlier pics. I much prefer moonroofs that slide in, but i understand why GM did it this way (room). Our Pontiac G6 has a similar moonroof and i hate it, so i will probably opt w/o it...but that puts me in bad spot b/c i love having a moonroof (esp. since i wrecked my Infiniti I had to climb out my the moonroof).

Im gonna look into aftermarket moonroof companies and see what they could offer and for how much.

If you really wanted a T-top you could always do an aftermarket chop, but I would be scared as heck to get it done.

does anyone have a 2010 sunroof camaro to tell us how the wind is when going to down the road or something to help the ones who can not decide about the sunroof option?

For all the examples people provided of the roof sliding straight back and inside, it seems those roofs were bigger and flatter than the Camaro's. Remember, this is a midsize coupe, so the top of the roof is pretty small to begin with, and it slopes down. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but it would probably be very difficult, very expensive, and take away headroom. I don't need much, but I understand this car will be sold to those who do. Really, I doubt I'll fully open the roof very often anyway. Most of the time it will be fully shut, or the shade will be open, or the back will be popped into vent mode. I just want the added openness and light of a glass roof and the ability to add a little extra venting.
My feelings exactly! Personally, I really like the swept back look of the external sunroof. Makes the car look like it's going even faster standing still (LOL). Here's another thought...if I get the sunroof, which (by the way) has an internal sliding cover to block the sun when it's too bright or when I'm parked, I have the option to look out through the top, let in a little light, put my hand up and feel the wind when I'm cruising without worrying about sticking my arm out the left window sideways, vent the roof for cooling when parked without needing to keep the windows open a little bit, watch the clouds through the top...ok, you get the idea.

If I don't get the sunroof, these things aren't really options for me. With the sunroof, I have the best of both worlds...without it I don't. These are things I really enjoy about driving in general--not just driving a Camaro. I think GM did a fine job by making this an option...and it is just that--an option.

So if you want it, get it. if you don't, then leave it off. Either way, I can't see how my decision to add it should impact anyone else but me. And I really don't have any concerns if someone else decides not to get the sunroof.

As for how it makes the car look...? Again, it's purely a matter of personal preference. To me it feels a little pathetic to hear someone trying to convince someone else that their viewpoint is the right one. I can tell you right now who is right...no one (or everyone). Just live and let live...enjoy and let enjoy, for crying out loud! These are GREAT cars with or without sunroof.

Cheers...

I loved the T-Tops in my '82 Camaro! I had them out most of the time - tucked in that black lined bag in the trunk

With the sunroof open you would not need a spoiler on the trunk and I heard you get better gas milage with the sunroof open too. haha.
Sorry I thought it was funny.
I don't care for it.

This is why I never wanted a sunroof and also it takes away from the reverse mohawk lines on the roof
