I can't get this stupid SD card to format. When I start the format tool, it says the capacity is only 30.6mb (64gb card) and says Windows was unable to complete the format. ughhhhhh

Did you buy it from eBay?

Even if you didn't, lots of those cards are counterfeits made in China. If that's the case you're SOL and need to buy from a different source.

Nope. Got it from Best Buy. It's worked fine for over a year.

What are the settings that you are choosing during the Format process? Also are you doing this on a Windows Computer, OS X Computer or straight from the device in which you plan on using it for?

Just the normal settings that I always have lol. It's on a windows pc. Have tried it on my HD Hero 2, too... I emailed SanDisk earlier, so hopefully they will send me a new one. Thank God for lifetime warranties

Yeah of it came from Sandisk and you bought it from best buy they should hook you up with a new one. Those types of flash memory shouldn't fail as soon as it has. It's good to hear youvr already had it for a year, I thought it was brand new. I've had that happen to me before on a microSD 32gb when they were the biggest you could get, and I was pissed!

Its probably corrupt now, but it'd keep it as a bookmark or something haha.

This is really terrific these dumb A$$ officials we elect. Gas prices are going down were starting to have a little extra cash. 37 states under 2 dollars for regular gas. Now these officials not wanting to but are adding 10 more cents tax on a gallon of gas WTF.
