Rumors are that the plan for a Camaro Z28 have been postponed and worst case discontinued. Will we see a Z28?

Ed Peper: There are no plans for it right now.
Yeah - I caught that one :( I think I've exhausted every resource I know for the most current Z28 speculation/information. It's not totally unexpected ( okay - at all) but they've never commented on future projects. We've been told than many times.

I'm more worried lately because of reading in the PHR that I just picked up that all SSs have the GM Performance Division badges on them, so unlike the ZR1 and CTS-V, Camaros don't have a performance group to develop higher performance versions; at least to my understanding... I thought I remembered all SS-versions of other Chevy vehicles not getting further development because GMPD being shut down, so unless we get some people from the ZR1 and CTS-V groups to come over to Camaroville, Z28 fans may be SOL. At least we got an SS

No plans for it "right now"

Keep in mind, Pedders suspension posted up about three months ago that they are invited to work on four "Special" camaro's in Auburn Hills MI.

What would be so special>>>>>??? HMMMMMM

Keeping the faith, one model at a time. (yes, I still have a waiting list!)

One day the car is done and only needs green light for production, the day after there is "no plan" at all ... dammit, I hate that ...

Scotty - You are an awesome member of the community - but you are not making me feel good about my current order if there are a bunch of "special" cars round the corner. ;-)
Guess us folks with cars bought this year will be keeping the aftermarket guys happy as we build our "GT500 slayerss" in installments

If you saw that awesome Z-28 on the lot you would not have any control and you would by it. Resistance is futile!

A Z/28 would be very cool; however, I would not pay $55k or more - which is what is will be, for the car. I am talking to a guy about a twin turbo for the SS for no more than $5k - that will get you to over 550HP.

I very much doubt a Z-28 would be 55K. By the time you change the tranny, torque converter, and suspension on your SS to properly handle that 550hp, you'd be into some serious $$$ anyway.

I never thought I would see an $80,000, or even a $55,000.00 Mustang, but they are here.

Lets hope if there is a Z28 it will be affordable.

Word on the upgrade costs, but My 2SS/RS out the door is $38,500, so hopefully I can stay in the Mid $40's when all is said and done.
