Not surprised at all. I brought my kids along to look at some rides the other day and even they said dam dad that new mustang is soo bland looking compared to the new Camaro. Love the interior of the 2010 mustang but dam that rear end is brutal looks so wrong on a mustang. I do admit the GT500 is nice and would be the only trim lvl i would even consider over the new Camaro but still wouldn't do it.

Well the Camao and Mustangs are way different than an AWD, turb'd 4 banger with 4 doors. I owned an Evo VIII, they are amazing cars. Depends what he wants it for. It doesnt look as cool as the Camaro or Mustang but will keep right up with both in a drag race and smash both in everything else, like a track.

Some potential future Mustang news comes by way of an internet forum user who calls himself TheInsider. With a handle like that, he must know what he's talking about, right? We kid. But some of the rumors he spills gives with what we've been hearing too. In any case, this source tells the masses at The Mustang Source that the 2011 Mustang's 3.7-liter V6 will be rated at 315 horsepower, neatly outperforming the direct-injected 3.6-liter unit installed in the Chevrolet Camaro by a handful of ponies. But wait, there's more!

Moving up the power ladder a step, the 2011 GT will see a bump up to an even 400 horsepower, which we're expecting to come from the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, and those horses will be corralled though a new six-speed manual gearbox. Unfortunately, because the base V6 will sport so much additional power, the mooted EcoBoost model may never come to fruition.

Now sources have leaked to us the torque numbers and they're set to provide the same kind of a smack down — 275 lb-ft of torque. While that bests the 2010 Camaro V6 by merely 2 lb-ft, as we all know, the muscle car wars have always been a game of whipping power numbers out of your pants. So on the budget side — Ford's V6 looks like they'll win this round.

No immediate plans for EcoBoost V6 Mustang due to small horsepower gap between EcoBoost and 5.0L V8 (365 vs 400)

2011 Mustang GT Track Pack to include Brembo brakes

And an incentive for GM to spool up RD on the Alpha II platform to finally downsize and better balance the Camaro. Right now with everything that I've been looking for in a Camaro Fighter coming to fruition from Ford I'm going to be looking for GM's changes come '11/'12.
