Go talk to your local shop and see how much a forged long block with ARP fasterners, etc, with heads/cam, fuel system etc costs plus labor then get back to me. Don't let your jaw hit the ground too hard. You're talking over 20 grand easy.. For just the parts... The LSA motor is a cam change, upgrade in injector and pulley change away from 700, I'd add a boost a pump and a fuel regulator for insurance on rock steady fuel pressure. That's less than 1500 bucks to make 700 hp. Most people will not be pushing this motor to its limit to have fully forged internals. There is no way GM would build this with forged internals unless they sold the car at around 55-60 k which would result in no units being sold. Plus now you're in Vette, Porsche, price range. The motor is detuned conservatively to make 556 hp all the time and will keep the warranty. That's designed for the guy that accidentally puts 87 octane in. And it's more than enough hp for 90% of the knuckleheads out there that think they can handle that much hp LOL. Contrary to what you think most buyers will be happy with the HP numbers and put some basic bolt ons to bump the performance. |

The disguise on these Camaros is pretty minimal by comparison. I don't think GM is trying to hide much. |

I know a lot of people are gonna crucify me for this haha, but i hope the Z finally brings the value of the SS down some, i know a lot of people would hate that but come on! time to share the wealth! haha
Im still eh about the LSA, its awsome having nearly 560hp in a Camaro but still the GT500 does the same trick with an aluminum block, now i know the Z will have more tricks up its sleeve than just the motor but still, i would have preffered either something N/A that makes the same power or something supercharged that just crushes the GT500, id love to see a production version ofthe LSX454 in this thing, or a redesigned LS7 |

Unecessary? Sure. Unwanted? Oh hell no LOL. Really most people want the Z28 just to say their "home-team" car is better then their friend's "away-team" car haha, but the fact that we're producing these machines is amazing, with America trying to get back into the world hunt its good to see we're starting with the things we know we do best haha |

Is it me or is there something blurred out at the bottom of the cowl where the supercharger is?

Definately looks like an LS9 intercooler to me...........
Then again, Robin Lawrence from GMPP had the LSA in his camaro, and he was saying it was heat soaking like a bastard, so they probably decided to upgrade. PS: OM NOM NOM!!!! |

It looks like the car that doesn't exist just may exist. Is it time to put my Camaro up for sale?
