I definitely recommend taking off the wheels for anyone planning to do a DIY for any fender work.
I did the same thing. Jack stands and took the wheels off. I did my grill before seeing this video. Wish I had seen first but ended up doing pretty much what is shown here. The one thing that makes the plastic clips easier to remove is to use a panel tool instead of a screwdriver. They are forked and pull up on the rounded top evenly and they come out much easier.

Popping the old grill out and the new one in is hard on the fingers too. Where some gloves if you have them. There are little metal clips on the inside that hurt like hell when you push them back on.

Thank you GTAHVIT!

Put a new grille into my Camaro this weekend and all I can say is thank you so very much for the videos. We referenced them a few times during the process. They were great! I don't know how you managed to do so much with only one hand though...LOL! I'm lovin' the new look of my Camaro!

Yep I wish I had one of those panel tools.

Your DIY helped me out a ton, just installed the heritage grill. Although I did not take off the wheels or jack the car up (My daughter heard alot of words she shouldn't have lol).

But just wanted to thank you.

I did scratch the crap out of the new grill while putting it on with the plastic tabs though.

I've done it a couple times on the ground like you did. it helps to have little squirrel hands like I do.

Hopefully the scratches aren't that bad.

So I just finished installing my new heritage grille. Video was a huge help. Thank you! However, I just noticed my hood doesn't seem to be centered. The space between the hood and the fascia is slightly larger on the left side than on the right. Not sure if it was like that to begin with, or is a result of something I did reinstalling. Already checked the bolts and fasteners and everything seems fine. Anyone have a guess????? Thanks

I would let it settle for a couple days...

Mine did that. as I had it laying on one side face down. after a while it settled back into it's normal shape.

were the plastic fasteners hard to get back in? did the holes along the top line up ok?

Yeah everything lined up perfectly and were easy to reinstall. The sides of the fascia line up perfectly. It's just up by the hood where there is a small difference in the gap.
