I have the 2ss auto and have no regrets. I see a lot of post on the forum about manual gears growling and owners going back to dealership. I really do not remember a post concerning autos and going back to the dealership. Had mine for 14 months, have not been to dealership and hope I never have to.

I commute 50 miles each way directly thru downtown atlanta, in the afternoon I stop and go 1,000 times during afternoon rush hour through the grady curve area.............dont even want to think about what it would be like pumping clutch
If this were a pure playtoy I would have a V8 and manual as I have had many times before..........I do believe performance cars should have sticks

Completely different cars, but as for power my 442 runs faster in the 1/4. I have ran 12.4 at my fastest in the 442 and I'm yet to run the SS with the mods I have. LOVE both cars and they both have their perks.

I decided to go automatic because i'm a realtor and drive around with my sandwich, cell phone, gps, printed listings, so hands are too busy to change gears... then I realized that I was not comfortable to meet my customers in my Camaro and I also didn't want to take my car during the long months of winter... So I decided to go buy a 4X4 Jeep... guess what? it's a stick shift!!!
So maybe I should have went the manual way the first time... but I still love the auto and the tapshift

Because I am paralyzed from mid chest down. I also use the paddles if I need to use it's RPM control for the road or track.

I own 2 LS1 NBM Trans Am WS6's, one manual and one auto. I am planning on selling them to buy a convertible Camaro SS in the coming year, and there is one resounding theme when talking to people about selling them:
Nobody wants the auto. Plain and simple. I started by telling folks I would sell one of them (the auto); they would ask if it was the manual one, and would scoff when I said it was the auto. Most people say manuals are more fun to drive, and after owning both manual and auto in extremely similar cars, I agree. |

I didnt feel like I wanted to shift anymore. My car was a stick and i must admit at first I thought I would miss driving a manual, but last week I borrowed my brothers car which was a manual and I must say I def made the right choice. Theres always paddle shifters
