... you still think I am stupid, or is your memory that bad you cannot remember what you posted 3 hours ago... one post where the cops were assholes to you only an hour ago. What the cops did was cheese, but it falls back on your neighbor. I don't blame you for venting, I blame you for bashing cops STILL (not just yesterday) that responded to a priority call for service. Gave you a 2 hour window to comply, and you refused regardless of the reason. If you knew they would come back with a ticket and couldn't take it down because the rims were down... then you bite the bullet.

Cop stuff aside. If I was working on my car and someone ( a cop, HOA, neighbor) started giving me grief....I can see where attitude or indifference to that party exists especially when the REAL reason they are all up in my cheerios is not known to me. The OP was given a ticket in a dumb situation resulting from poor communication. I bet life will move along just fine for the OP. There doesn't seem to be any real reason to make this more than that.

Ok so i was bashing on the cop yesterday when the only thing i had to go by was that 7 cop cars had come to tell me to get my car off jacks a car that was standing in my own driveway! Who wouldnt bash on this! Sense when does it take 7 cop cars to do this!

Now this morning my neighbor came to tell me that he was sorry for the incident yesterday and that he had been the one to call the cops because he was simply lookin out for me!Shouldn't the cops had mentioned this report to me yesterday!

Dude i was in my own driveway why wouldnt I be in a shock!I was working on my car at my own house sense when is that a crime!!

Might as well get a ticket for mowing my lawn to rite!!!

Listen.. the violation is BULL S---. I don't disagree with you. I disagree with the way you view the officers that responded after they gave you a timeframe and after your neighbor essentially was the cause of the generated call. 7 cops came because of a burglary call in progress, that is a very high priority call due to the chance of escalated violence.

I never said you were stupid. I never said you were an asshole. All I asked of you was to consider why and who you were bashing. It doesn't make you a bad person..nor am I trying to point you out as one.. only that you consider what you are saying. Then the thread blew up.. for that I apologize. If I put myself in the shoes of those cops and I gave a simple request to remove the vehicle from the stands in 2 hours and you didn't... that is a slap in the face.

The fact is man you moved into a neighborhood or city that prohibits that action. Period.. you run the risk of this happening every time you jack the car up in a drive way.

I'd be pissed too man. My dad is a mechanic and he/we have worked on litterally dozens, if not hundreds, of vehicles, including our own in our driveway. Not once has he ever had a cop or neighbor complain about cars on jacks, loud air compressors, hammering on metal, etc etc... I'd be pissed too if 7 cops showed up and didnt even tell me that my neighbor called in the complaint. I dont know whos the bigger d-bag... the cops or your neighbor. Just stick to your guns, imo you did nothing wrong. Some people just dont know how to mind their own effin business.

P.S. when ever i get that "occasional stare"... i just smile.
