I think it is no coincidence that Angel an I are arguing for the Z because we have both owned one and we know how liveable they are. They have huge amounts of trunk space... right now in mine i have 2 tennis rackets, 4 lacrosse sticks, football/basketball, my laptop bag, and still have room for more.

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

I don't dispute the cargo space... Just the need for the occasional passenger or frequent small passenger...
In fairness, this thread isn't about me. I have zero interest in the 370. It just isn't what I want. Not to say it isn't a nice/capable car. It's just not what I want for a number of reasons that, I'm sure, come as no surprise to you guys. My final thought is if you don't need room for more than one passenger, then the 370 is something to be considered by those that haven't already picked a side. As to whether or not the 370 is the "biggest" competitor? I still think old habits die hard and the mustang will be the one most often considered by prospective buyers. JMHO.

I think when he said biggest competitor he ment in the performance aspect as well as sales, which i think we can all agree the 370z has pretty locked up over the mustang and the challenger.

ArcAngel and Tal I definitely got to agree with both of you. I like the Interior design of the camaro, but the plastics even if they are soft to the touch are just like my cobalt. I guess I'm really old school and like a little squish to my dashboard. I think that's why I love the 60's and 70's Muscle Cars, they had some nice interiors and wow factors for their time. Also where the speedo and RPM is I would actually like to see the faces white with that blue lighting at night along with the plastic silver being brushed aluminum at least in the RS edition vehicles. I also completely forgot about the Challenger and it definitely has the squish factor I'm talking about and agree the R/T is also on my mind since they are getting better at lowering the price. Just the weight and fuel mileage I don't like. If I were list the top competitors to the Camaro(all trim levels) in no particular order:
2011 Ford Mustang-Upgrade of powerplants then well see 2010 Mustang-Glass Roof editions only Challenger R/T and SRT-Good, but price is a bit high needs to come down some Genesis Coupe-Still think it is good car, but please don't turn it into a ricer 370Z-ricer, but nice looking would rather have a Fiat 500 or Mini than this Infinity G37 same as 370 BMW-Cool and refined, but way too much for the price, can get a camaro and have enough to take a girl to a fancy restaurant than going to the dollar menu at McDonalds, although they have chicken nuggets now, I'm rambling sorry getting hungry and at work now. LOL Last call-I guess I'm hoping for when GM is better financially they may take in consideration to improve door panel and dashboard to have some squish behind that plastic and some more brighter trim pieces.

well then I have been corrected on the G37 front. Then that diminishes the Camaro interior even more, no way it will hold a candle to an infinity interior

^ Well thats true to some guys the v8 is a drug and cant be ignored but to some its the whole package, so the v8 might not be enough to over look the interior at a 40000 price point

Let hope they don't have any ideas about putting that V8 from the M45 into the G35, ... hope not

Wow that would be retarded! It would also give the G37 something the 370z doesnt have at its disposal. It might happen in the next model, if not possibly a twin turbo to boost torque and hp but keep the mpg??
