So, I have now seen folks from EE recommending both solutions as the best solution. I have both the replacement bolt and I have the L bracket. I would really like to know which is actually considered the best solution. I hope to install one of them in the next few days. Thanks. |

I have received my new stud from EE and it is very obvious that it is a higher quality part. The allen wrench installation is simple and everything else remains the same. 5 minute fix and no more worries. Will post up pics soon.

Does Elite make a bracket to mount the CC on the drivers side off of the OEM airbox bolts???? Thought I seen one earlier on my iPhone but didnt when I got on my computer! I really need to move mine because of the Vararam, hard to empty!!!
Also Does it make a difference with it being so far away from the PCV valve!!!!

Yes. Plenty of room around it. Clears the cover easily.

The new bracket is the way to go IMO, it looks a lot cleaner, is easier to access to drain, IMO, works with Vararam, other intakes, superchargers, etc.
Its the same bracket that is used for the Corvettes, just in a different location.

For those that installed the tensioner bracket for the catchcan ... did you remove the belt from the tensioner before taking the bolt off? I was assuming that it was, but wanted to ask anyway.

You do not have to remove the belt, just take the bolt off and bracket on and bolt back on.

We now have the updated Camaro SS Elite Catch Can in stock,
utilizing the new bracket to locate it on the belt tensioner bolt, which allows for more durability, and use on additional air intakes and superchargers. ![]() Excellent prices, and free shipping! - Jeremy Last edited by JDP Sales; 07-27-2011 at 02:31 PM. |
