I'm sorry, but I have to disagree about the "incredibly fast" comment about the GT 500. A lightly modded 03/04 Cobra can run with it and a base C6 vette will outrun the GT 500. Ask me how I know!!

I just sold my 2008 GT500. It was a fun car and cheap to mod, unlike the vettes with the "vette tax" on every mod. The GT500 just didn't have the power I thought it would, plus I was driving a modded C6 Z most days which made the GT500 feel very slow. I still would not change the fact that I bought one and enjoyed every time I drove it. I have a Jay Leno taste for cars, just not the Jay Leno funds to back it up.

Check any of my posts I'm a life long mustang guy who is highly excited about the new Camaro!!! Grew up with all of my buddies driving Camaros, Trans Ams, GTO's and one Super Bee! If it's good American Muscle I like it. I will definitely look into the new SS and there is a good chance I will get one once the excitement wears off a little and prices settle from the extreme highs I am expecting.

But, respect should be showed mutually or not at all.

How long has the Camaro been out off production? The Mustang has never been since its introduction in 1964. The Camaro comes back to production and all the sudden it is the best there ever has been, nice for sure, but the Mustang has not had any competition for a good while and has become soft, but with that said you Chevy boys have a long ways to go to catch up to the Mustang as just because your back on the block does not mean you own it, yes the SS will be less than 40K and yes the GT500 is 45K but it is a faster car, with that said the GT Mustang now that it has competition, will get better catching the Camaro in the middle of a Mustang sandwich, if GM does not stop taking money on street corners while playing the harmonica you guys may not have any thing with Bowties to brag about. Ford is th only American car Co that does not have to take welfare, Ford will make the Mustang "Remain" faster than the Camaro, so bring your A Game.
