Been silently watching this thread. Haven't said anything because a. my time right now is very scarce and b. don't know enough about these things to say or add anything intelligent to the discussion. Am excited for the results. With RX SC, Mace cams, Blk ice-lator and the rest of my mods, what am I looking at here HP wise? Prolly a roasted everything from the transmission on back. Lol

you will definitely be over 300 to the rear. now open that head up to suit the cam and you "might" be looking close to top 300's to the rear. we will know more once we see what these cams are all about for the LLT.

He said RX SC...as in supercharger I believe so he would definitely be well over 300 hp to the wheels.

Probably more like 420 to 450 with all that lol

But without the supercharger.....but all bolt ons including cams and ported manifold/isolator I'd guess 315 to 320 rwhp or so....near L99 territory.

How did I miss the SCLOL. With SC you will def be over 400 with cams. No doubt about that!

I think we would be more in the upper 350+ range. With everything so far without the complete head work with valve jobs and porting I put down 282 to the rear. Our dyno 248x read low as it is. So on that particular day when I dynoed 282 I can comfortably say that on a normal reading dyno we would have seen 300 easy. We know a mild cam by itself is good for at least around 20 to the rear, add the head to it and that number is only going to get bumped up. Some cars get 100+ all day with heads and cam combo. Now im not saying that will be the case with out LLT but I wouldn't look pass around 350+ range.

I'm sorry, I haven't been following this as closely as I should. Is there any progress being made in terms of heads right now?

It's crazy how last year was kind of dead for the LLT, and this year the mods are coming hard and heavy. It's exciting stuff, but not for my bank account

I wasn't factoring ported heads into my numbers, (just cams + ported intake manifold/insulator) but I'm still not sure I would go 350+ rwhp. Don't take that the wrong way...because I really don't know what could happen and in fact I hope your right lol.

But 350+ rwhp as we all know is roughly 420 crank HP even on a manual car. That sounds like a bit of a stretch to me....but hey...I'm ready to be proven wrong!

I think hes referring with full bolt ons and aggressive cams ect.. Bmore is already dynoying at 300 rwhp so with the right product 350 is definitely achievable!

i've been searching around but nobody is really cracking em open yet. there was a set that was previously worked on her for a member by a guy named MikeD but i haven't been able to get ahold of him. here is the response i got from Phastek in response to the head job they show on their website:

Those were a one-off build we did. Unfortunately we are not offering them as a continued service.

Phastek Performance Sales Team

still waiting to hear back if they'd make a "two-off". but i do have an appointment on saturday about getting some head work locally. as it goes along i'll keep you guys updated but don't expect a final product for a couple months. but like it was mentioned before, why spend the money on CAMS and the time to rip the heads open and not do any work and leave HP on the table?

That's exactly what I been trying to say. Head and cams should always go together. You already got the cams off so why not do the head Alot of peoples don't understand the power of head with the right cams. Cams are basically changed out to cramp more air in on that specific range of rpm band, now you add valve worked and ported head to the mix and you are going to get even more "BANG". Some cars such as the SS get 100+ to the rear all day with just cams and heads. I wouldn't be surprised if we see 60-70 to the rear with cams and heads on our LLT.

MATT D. I been trying to get a hold of that guy for ages but he never reply back to anyone he is the one who did the 5 angle porting job for bmwdon and he sold it to tracy then tracy installed it on gretchen's car. I really wish I could get more info on some nicely worked cylinder head.
