I understand that the color changes at different angles, but the change should be gradual as the angle (and plane) of the body changes. If the panels are on the same plane, then it just doesn't look right if there's a noticeable difference in color on each side of the seam.

Whats funny is the ground effects painted at the dealerships match perfectly compared to the bumper installed at the factory.

1 picture is not proof of anything when lighting and angle of reflection are plausible explanations. Take a look at some other pictures of CGM. A shot from a similar angle to the picture you provided show a possible mis-match. But close-ups of the area in question show that there is no mismatch. Here's what I mean: two pictures of the same car, taken same day, with same camera, by the same person (me). The close-up is where the hood meets the facia and the fender near the corner of the hood.

And I'd say that you nailed it in the process.. there is a lot of passion on this site, some good and some bad. At times, it can feel as if the majority is negative, however other times the overwhelming amount of positive cannot be overlooked. It's the yin/yang of having a website that is directed to enthusiasts, and populated with user generated content.

That paint is perfect Ive seen mismatched paint in person and some here are posting their mismatched ones. Were not saying there are no cars coming out perfect just a few that are messed up. Why is it so hard to believe eye witnesses. I gain nothing by lieying my car is at 3000 I just want to get the right bumpers on.I've seen a dozen cars 2 had this issue.

I guess you need to reconsider. Did you see the CGM? above?

What are you trying to defend here?? GM has shipped out cars to members of this forum with mismatched front fascia's that according to them are noticeable in person as well as in pictures. This is a fact. The bumpers being painted by a supplier separate from the main body is also a fact. I have on order an IOM Camaro which is going to be pulled on Monday at midnight so I am worried. My second choice for a color is cyber grey. Both of these colors are the ones with the most color mismatching issues on this forum. I do understand your point if the mismatch would only be visible in a picture but this is not the case with most of them so far. Just because you saw one in person that fit this description doesn't mean every problem like this is the same.. If the paint does not match perfectly it is unacceptable, simple as that..

If Gm does know about this issue and ships the car anyways, there is a problem..If GM misses seeing the issue and ships the car, this in my opinion is another problem. Either way GM needs to do something about this issue and rectify the problem.

Look We've made our case. GM is now aware of the concern. And now all we can do is wait to see if GM can fix it or prevent it from occuring in the future.

That's it.

It has become a bashing thread because none of you are willing to accept that cars are going to have problems. And when they do none of you will concede that GM will work to fix it.

This thread is closed.

When anyone gets more information on this feel free to PM me and I will reopen it.

You can all be angry with me if you want but this thread hasn't offered anything new for a while.
