2) open hood 3) open fuse box 4) remove the white fuse-picker-upper tool 5) using the white fuse-picker-upper tool remove fuses #5 and #20. Please reference the underside of the fuse box lid for reference as to which fuses are #5 and #20. 6) put fuses in pocket 7) put the white fuse-picker-upper tool back into its holder 8) close fuse box lid 9) close hood 10) go inside and put fuses somewhere where you won't lose them 11) the next day: repeat steps 1-9 except put the fuses back instead of removing them. 12) enjoy your Camaro. |

Change #9 to say LEAVE HOOD OPEN Add Step #12 CLOSE HOOD This way, you won't forget that you took the fuses out, and try to start th ecar the next day and wonder why it won't start.

I have a zl1 with ligenfelter 630 kit. I've been reading this thread and I been wondering what did gm or the dealership put in the gas tank. Plus I go to one gas station for 93 since day one but I've have had 91 a couple times. I have follow the break in period and change oil and diff. At 1550 miles. Got on it a lot at wow and then at 1800 miles I put on the kit and tune. Very powerfull. Now at 2200 miles I did the fuse pull. 3 hours later put fuses back in. Then I drove it. All I got to say is dddaamm dam! This mf is fast. I really feel the difference
When you first drive it get on it hard then drive it how you drive. Dam what beast. |

Or maybe we should just say 'Undo the two large clips under the ECU'.......

I have, however, found this info on b o w t i e v 6 .com and and the schematics are the same as the SS. So this will clear up any confusion about what fuses go to what. There are three fuse boxes. I've heard it said that the #20 fuse is a spare and the #5 fuse is to the air. So this shows why that is correct in the cabin fuse box but not the engine compartment fuse box.

I guess this fuse pull mod doesn't apply to me since I live in CA and only have access to 91 octane anyway
so my car is already at the "lowest fuel table"...but I still try to drive it like I stole it every now and then so the system learns my good driving habits
