secondly i paid 31k for my car exactly. with a 5k turbo including tuned and installation that brings me to and astounding 36k making my car still having more hp than an SS for still 10k less.
So you quote your car at MSRP but then put the SS at 46k? A lot of people here got their SS at MSRP, myself included. Overpaying is for chumps.

Congrats for your turbo..it does have more power than a stock SS. However, I think the discussion is about stock V6 vs. V8 as most people here won't want to risk their warranty messing with the engine on a first year car. Good luck with your turbo though, it'll make the V6 a lot more fun.

Don't forget the '02 Camaro Z28 was 315 HP. You've got a 6 with 304 HP. Not too shabby dude.
No comparison. The LT1's and LS1's will kick the new V6's butt. No brag just fact.
Ive driven both and own a '97Z28.

How many times do we have to explain what higher torque at lower rpms in a lighter car vs heavier car with less torque at higher rpms with similar HP ratings means?

I guess as often as people keep comparing horsepower at the flywheel without considering anything else.

Sorry i go to dealers and look at prices and not looking at Msrp in magazines. SCRMING needs to get a life, youre not the god of this forum and i really wish you would get off my balls about everything..you cant even let me post on a thread that hasnt been posted on in like a month without putting your worthless two cents in. i DO NOT CARE about your opinions, they are completely worthless to me, why because you are going by what you read and are told, and you talk trash calling me a "kid" and basically calling me a liar, then when i prove your ass wrong and show you without a doubt that i really was getting a turbo you start bad mouthing the company doing it..i was being polite about the tuning, they didnt cancel my turbo because the tuning they cancelled it because of the b/s you started on that site. i was supposed to meet the guy monday and you started your crap on a friday or so. the guy ask me to erase the thread because it may give them bad attention and they wont do it now..so anyone in the works of getting something done to their car DO NOT POST IT, cause SCRMING is soo jealous that someone is doing something that others and himself isnt that he stalks you and post ignorant messages and makes you out to be a liar and a bad guy whenever hes just pissed cause you didnt run it past him and his "BIG BOY" companies.
Quite posting all the mis-information and I wouldn't have to correct you...

I'm not making you out to be a liar... you are doing that ALL BY YOURSELF!

I love that your are trying to blame me for the shop backing out of the turbo deal... one guy posting on one internet forum.... LOL! That's simply amazing...

I simply post the TRUTH... and now that you are finding out that I really do know what I'm talking about.. you try and accuse me of being jealous... Hey you want to blow your car up go right ahead... just quit making crap up!

Zex makes a N20 kit for you car... and it is AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW! Why don't you install that until your turbo is ready! LOL!

Well, you guys will be happy to know that this is one LLT owner you don't have to explain HP/TQ/Weight to... In fact I go out of my way to educate other LLT owners that while it is great to be excited about the LLT motor (which I am!!!), you also have to be realistic! Yep... 304HP but only 273 ft/lbs of torque... But that 300 HP Mustang is going to be making 320 ft/lbs of torque in a lot lighter car! LOL!

I regret not getting the V8:(

Can Anyone tell me any +'s to having the v6 over the v8?

Gas mileage aside.

ATM, i am very confused and every1 i know that has one has the v8.

It seems like im the only person with a V6.
You sold it for a V-8? But I thought you said you had companies working on your V-6 and would be showing it at SEMA... in fact, I think you tried to tell Defenderworks your car would be better than theirs at SEMA... So what happened??

A lot of empty promises from a young person thats what happened. He tried to sell his car for 38k, then kept going lower and lower, blah blah blah. He currently said dealer offered 27k and he is getting a 1ss. I feel sorry for the kid and hope he learns some kind of lesson but not sure he will. i think his parents bought it and might be buying him the 1ss if thats whats happening. I don't have any facts but that only makes the situation worse.

the ls1s in the 4ths were under rated anyway, from what ive heard from anyone whos dynoed a stock one. im still looking into getting a 2002 35th at some point, maybe they wont be as much of a collectors item since they are no longer the last production year for the car
