OK, here's the update.

Made it to GPI yesterday for a little roller fun. These numbers are a comparison of just the Bo White TB, to my previous dyno. The car hasn't been touched, other than adding the 3.91's and adjusting the trans tune for those. No tuning was done for the TB during these runs. We need to take into account that my previous dyno was Feb. 24th 2014 so it was MUCH colder (thinking 40's) and today is was 93. Even at that, the results were quite impressive. The tq was a wash and we attributed that to the 50 degree temp difference but we gained 7 whp from 5200rpm and up. That makes total sense as this is a increased flow mod. The OEM TB flows very well in the low and mid range but opening it up shows very good gains on the top end. Would love to see what it would do in a back to back comparison, on the same day but didn't want to tie up the dyno any longer than I already did. The car was heatsoaking pretty bad after several runs anyway.

Mods in the sig are up to date.

This was over a stock TB?

But for the money, ease of install, and gains no brainer if you are still on a stock one.

Haven't seen a dyno graph of the Vmaxx so I can't speculate. Most say it's a throttle response mod and that I totally agree with since Bo's are ported as well. Vmaxx is spiral ported, but don't know how much, if any, difference that makes. Bo is now offering to do his shaft mod to Vmaxx TB's as well, if you're interested. At this moment, it's a send in item only since they don't have a stash of Vmaxx TB's to mod. You can check with Jason (Jacfab) to see how long it would take.

I didn't do a dyno, but I can tell you that I noticed a much more immediate response when I press on the gas pedal and that's what I was after. I was never expecting more HP from this mod. I am hopeful thought that it will help my reaction time at the line. I'll be able to measure that in a few weeks when I'm back at the track.

In do a double take every time I see your username. Earnhardt fan?

And I agree. I've got some mods and a tune (bubye AFM ) now so I'm very happy with this PTB.

I don't think it will help your reaction time... That's a driver thing. Slight possibility it could help your 60' time though? Very glad you are happy with it!

I apologize as I'm relatively new to reading dyno graphs, but the thin line is the new dyno? If so, it appears there is a gain in peak horsepower and torque with a small reduction at low RPM. I noticed everyone states this is a 'throttle response' mod, so I figured it would be the opposite.

Also, if I'm understanding, the colder weather for the first dyno would benefit your dyno numbers because the air is cooler and less dense--correct? So what you're saying is that the gains, hypothetically, might be slightly more than what is showing?

Sorry for the newb questions--I know how to read a single line dyno graph but still have difficulty sometimes with the graphs that have multiple lines.

His car was heatsoaking, that's prolly what you're seeing down low...

Exactly, cooler temps get better numbers. I would bet that Bo's TB picks up more horses than that back to back.

Bo has been porting Tb's since the Ls1 days! Wow I'm getting old, if I was to get a TB it would be thru him.

I did my own shaft mod to my V-Max, and yes it made a big improvement. So much so, I have been driving Rhino nut's dialing in the tune. Maybe it's more sensitive with my cam / bolt on set up but it for sure needed to be re-tuned. I'm shocked that no else has reported needing a tune adjustment. I will do an A/B comparison when I get on the dyno soon.

I have the CNC ported TB on mine .... big advantage with this one? Would I notice a big difference if I took mine out and installed this one?

No tune at all needed on mine.
