TJ is he lead tech on Peter's build. He created a grouping moving from left to right a combination oil pressure / temperature gauge, shift light and HUD. It is different from the original plan of oil gauge on the steering column, shift light under the HUD. Once we have it all up and running it may be perfect. It may be a fail. We won't really know until we get Peter in the driver's seat. What I do know is that we will get it right for Peter no matter where it all ends up.

Really wish there was a way to get an easy to see Shift Light built into the HUD where the eyes are looking most of the time.

Interesting idea. You know the reason the HUD works is that it is a bright light that is reflected off the windshield. I wonder if you mounted the shift light to the dash pointing straight up, if the reflection would be as clearly visible as the HUD is.

Since you're talking to TJ, I wonder if you want to consider seeing if he could mount it on a track of some kind so you could slide it forward and backwards on the dash, to get it to move higher or lower on the windshield for fine-tuning the adjustment (instead of just bolting it to one spot and it being there for good).

No tracks. Through Bolted or panel bonded. The dash will come loose from the factory mounting points before anything we install does Fine tuning would take place before we final install it. I am really hoping the location is good. I made this clear to TJ before he installed anything on the dash. If it needs to be moved, we'll find a way. Glenn has been building NASCAR Cup, truck and outlaws for longer than most of the readers in this thread. We rely heavily on Glenn for all safety related decisions. Combine the experience we have from Joe, TJ, Daniel, Glenn and yours truly and we generally come up with a good solution.I just realized we should be charging more for all this expertise

![]() As for charging more - one kidney is already gone, and I think I need the other, but let me see what the market rate is for a lung. Two is probably overkill.

And on top of that, weight reduction, too! A kidney has got to be at least 4-5 lbs.

IRS getting ready to go back in.
Drain for dry sump under trunk. Wiring mostly back in the interior. Charging lugs out back (not safe to charge battery in trunk with 3 gallons of oil right next to it).

I'm not surprised about there not being any comments after your post SSoon....I would imagine a majority (like myself) are anxious to see this monster run!
