Coming up on our one year anniversary in a couple weeks. Was unable to drive it for a couple months this summer due to medical issues with eyes. Talk about withdrawals. Got a tad over 8K on the odometer and hungry for more. Will be giving up one of my vices to start mod fund.

I will be hitting 25K this month, 5.5 years. We put quite a few miles on with road trips during the first three years, ~8500.
But with no commute I don't get to drive it enough everyday. Anecdote: January, 2016. Our cat needs an emergency to the vet. First thing in the morning, the car was frozen because I hadn't driven it in three days and was expecting a warming in 2 more days. But NO, the cat needed a vet, now. So I spark it up, set the defroster and rear 100%. Back in the house to box up the animal (cats love boxes, hate cages). Put the cat box on the front passenger floor and, of course, he is crying, hurting. The windows are all still frozen so I get my son to help chip ice. And that takes one cat lifetime. Halfway there (another cat life) we stop at a signal, I calm the cat, check the gauges and I had 23456 on the odometer. There was a station right across the street I could have stopped in for a pic but I realized I had left my phone on the desk  The cat survived and enjoys being able to look outside the box. |
