Just wanted to add my .02 and say that I have added the PDIM to my car and I love it! I installed the hardware myself and the instructions are VERY straightforward! The hardest part was getting the two screws out of the rear of the console, aside from that it was easy as could be, the dealer charged $90 for the re-flash, which I felt was a rip, but considering that I couldnt do it myself, I didnt have a choice. Now I can play my Ipod via bluetooth or charge and play via the USB. Sounds great and I love that I can control everything via the headunit! Well worth it IMO

Now how do we get it to overcome the limit of 2500 songs, indexes every time you start the car (can't change tracks, etc while it's indexing), doesn't remember settings such as random, doesn't remember previous playlist (e.g. if you were listening to an album).

There has to be a way to add Memory to the unit and add a battery so it dos not need to index every time we turn the key.

This is probably something that GM will need to fix for us...of the aftermarket community.

Got mine installed on my 1SS at the dealer for $255. All works well so far. Now for the steering controls.

Richard Hibbard Chevy in Claremont. Eric Horn in the parts department would be the person to contact.

That's correct. Eric Horn at Richard Hibbard is super cool guy. He gave me a free shirt when I was there for a few hours for the PDIM install
