Emma,
Keep in mind depending on how radical you get with your cam choice, you WILL need a torque converter ( and/or possibly gears ) to match the cam. If the cam is mild enough, you won't need to do either, but once you start jumping into serious power levels, at the minimum a converter is a MUST! Keep us posted
