Oh Dear GOD.....................

I don't know where to start with that article...............

Here's something for him to soak on:

The year: 1979............DOUBLE DIGIT inflation and interest rates....gasoline thru the roof..........

...................and we sold 282,000 Camaros plus a wholebuncha Firebirds!!

What he and many people do not realize: There are STILL people out there that want an exciting car to drive..........and they are willing to spend the extra bux on gasoline in order to do so...........

Further, comparing the 70s and 80s to today has one major problem:

The customer has over 400 nameplates to choose from today! Back then, it was nothing for one nameplate to sell in the 250,000 range - today, that's not the case - the pie hasn't gotten bigger lately -but the slices are MUCH smaller...........

Once again - an 'expert' hasn't thought this thru................

Perhaps he'll come to Camaro5 or the Homecoming and we can show him the error of his ways!

hhmmmmmmmmmmm............notice that he has no "contact me" button on his site............

That might tell us something, no?

Well - we'll see if the note I sent to the newspaper get to him.......and if he perhaps will show up..........

Also note how he acts like the only available camro is a 30,000 plus V-8 fuel sucking machine. LOL nevermind the V-6 thats 312hp starts around 23,xxx and gets 29mpg.

He soooooooooooooo needs to do homework. Oh yeah according to him 20-30 year olds can't afford this car either and are all moving back in with their parents. LOL 28 here and own multiple cars and own my own house.

He's a joke needed for the good of great laugh.

I don't understand why this individual is bent on convincing people the Camaro is going to fail. Maybe they are paid by Ford to spread propaganda in hopes people would avoid the Camaro .

I believe I will borrow a phrase from the internet vernacular to describe the original article prophesizing the demise of the mighty 5th gen:

"Cool story, bro." (sarcasm)

The climax of this writer's article is perhaps the most flawed part of his argument: The Camaro's styling. Isn't that the reason most of us even looked at or bought the Camaro?

Personally, I'd never been as enamored with a car's design as I am with my 5th gen Camaro. I still stare at it everyday for at least a few seconds after I get to work, or whatever my destination may be, before I break eye-contact with my car-porn-eye-candy and step away.

Yes the initial onset of the camaro brought some great sales numbers and most were enthusiasts so I can see where he points out the sales decrease of 38% by October 2010. Duh that is because they sold soooo many of them month over month for the first few months and a lot of those were pre-orders like myself. This guy is a real nut job that can twist numbers to make his public buy what he is selling. The Camaro is still outselling the Mustang and Challenger month over month and has sold more by far from the onset of its release after April 2009. What a moron!

I read some other articles on his blog. He seems to hate all modern muscle cars.
