Well, at least it's almost all corrected. Then you'll never ever have to fix anything again. You'll be all done. What are you going to do with all that spare time? Lol

Sure, tons of spare time ;o)
Right now, I built a test harness for the abs wiring out of the old sensor. The service manual states how to test each line, so this harness will allow me to plug in and test! I'll show a pic of that... VVT Delete was a good education for me, now it's documented 'o) I really like that BlueDriver... does all but air bag codes! -Don

ABS is fixed -- it turned out the ABS K17 connector did not fully seat the pin for the RR sensor -- I took a mirror and checked all the pins on the EBCM and sure enough, one of the pins missed on the connector (pin #19 brown wire). I slowly pulled the pin straight, slowly slid on the K17 connector several times, validated the pin was good and aligned, locked it down -- BAM -- working.
So, even though these connectors are supposed to prevent that mis-alignment, you'll still need to take it slow and easy and validate the connector slid on correctly. I'd advise verifying all the pins are straight before installing any of these lock-down connectors. Whew! Now, I can go out and do my test for the Flex Fuel! -Don

Well, funny story, GPI was supposed to install it when I was there but, we got all excited with the engine install, we forgot to do it. I did remember it right before I left, but by then, too late ;o).
It'll get in there... so much going on at the end of this year... -Don

Only reason I asked, tuning fueling on dyno, and then checking it on the street, you will find fueling to be a little different.

Some time in the future... -Don

Flex Fuel Saga Fixed!
Looks like the new coil harness worked - engine ran smoother and not missing. Moving the flex fuel to a dedicated 12v input solved the sensor issue -- the defective coil harness may have been an issue all along -- one sensor failing and the second one jumping all over the place -- so very likely, with this coil pack harness, I would NOT have had an issue with the DSX harness. Since I've moved it to a dedicated 12v source with a 5 amp fuse, its staying there.
NO ABS/StabiliTrak issues, and MAN, does it run better -- SCARY better let me tell you -- 3rd gear @ 70 mph and floor it -- look out -- I made sure I was clear of any traffic -- in Mexico -- and damn did it take off -- a 70 MPH burn out.... NICE... Here is a graph of the good news: ![]() The new Recaros' and Alcantara steering wheel are da' bomb -- awesome for sure... Sigh, now its all working -- very nice, what to do next, I wonder... -Don

Another shake down drive...she ran great! Wife went along for the ride again.. she just loves the Recaros... wishes she had one in the house (heated)... now that is saying something!
Very pleased how the changes are working. New drivers side coil harness should be here tomorrow...I'll update that side... Really impressed with how well this engine runs... -Don

Another shakedown drive with the new coil harness.. all excellent! Runs fantastic... very happy it's steady. The leaks from the Mishimoto sandwich have stopped completely after the new hoses. Oil level is steady.. no leaks!
Right at 1.4k miles on the new engine... Going strong! -Don

4th Night in a row shakedown -- excellent results, runs fantastic, and, 1400 miles since initial startup/drive! No oil loss, little oil in the catch cans (some but not much at all), no smoke, fluids all full! Wife STILL loves the Recaros ;o)
Can't argue with that -- E85 is still 75%-78% here -- even with the cooler evenings. Blackstone test kit arrived so next oil change, we'll send it to the lab for a test! I'll also add a magnetic drain plug @ that time... Engine is a monster. I'll be putting her on the race ramps to check underneath and do a 'death check' to verify the big parts are bolted tight still... Better safe than sorry with this much power ;o) -Don
